Currently considering bootlegging the Chung King LP on matching dark blue vinyl. I once noticed a The Kids LP for sale at a record fair for a reasonable price, the seller also didn't notice the Discord and Exclaim labels.

yeah, I think I was smoking to much (legalized) pot overhere haha, why didnt i think of that? well played. i first thought of the people plugging the dams up with their fingers, but i think thats purely an american stereotype/view. i also couldnt think of how to tie it in. the whole plugging the dams up with their fingers, is pretty much a story made up for American tourist, since barely any native Dutch person knows this story.

Put it in my agenda. I can confirm the Word To Live For on red comes in the super high glossy sleeve.

Isn't customs/import tax supposed to be charged by the government of the country the package is destined for? The package goes through the customs once arrived in the country of destination. Does ebay just slam the sticker on the package: "Don't bother with customs, we got there first and we got your money losers. To try and get it from us please file a paypal claim in our resolution centre. You may have to log in" Yes customs charges import taxes. But 99% of the time, you don't have to pay them, since the "bar" for paying them is pretty high when it comes to media items. However the "bar" for paying V.A.T. is a lot lower and it does happen when a shop put a realistic price on the package and doesn't write it down as gift. So the chances of this happening especially with priority shipping is much larger. Since the "bar" is set at 45 euro's including face value of the shipping. But according to the current description of the GSP program the V.A.T. is no part of it for my country at least. So if I pay for those GSP costs, it is a complete 100% profit for eBay and I most likely still need to pay V.A.T. trough our postal services due to the high shipping costs of using priority over first class shipping.

like geoff, love stuff like this. in a restaurant I love the (veggie) surprise dish that cooks comes up with (eventhough this may also mean, whatever we have plenty of, we through that on your plate, no bitching about that) I ordered a box and hope for something cool... I agree with you on the first part, but I am not a picky eater, if it is veggie and save to eat, I will eat it. When it comes to hardcore I am much more picky. This is more like going to a restaurant and ask for the surprise dish and hope it is veggie, despite 90% of the normal dishes contains meat. Still I find it awesome that labels do these things, especially if you see people getting crazy cool stuff. But without having a clue on what you might get I feel reluctant to spend 40+ dollars on this. My cd-player died on me a few weeks ago and I don't really feel like getting a new one, since it will be just sitting there collecting dust amyway, so the five cd's thing is not a deal changer to me. So on the end of the line, I doubt it would be worth it for me, but maybe I will punching myself in the face later on about this. Who knows.

Would be nice if they would give us a hint, since I couldn't be bothered about a new Down To Nothing 7" and 5 eighteen visions cd's especially if I need to pay 40 bucks for it.

I backed out of bidding on auctions that have this. So I doubt in the end it will benefit the seller. I've read a lot of complaints sales have fallen down a lot and thus have the end prices of items.
Plus the charges seem to be higher then the custom here charges, most of the time they didn't charge any import duties at all, but you might need to pay V.A.T. which isn't included in the GSP.
So in the end it is extra money for eBay and so it has hardly any benefits for either the buyer or seller.

I like this stuff old Ebay auctions of stuff you never seen afterwards. I noticed a US seller selling the Insurance Risk 7" with Necros tour sleeve back in 2002. I didn't win it by 3 cents. I saved the small image of the record from that auction but I took me almost 10 years before I run across another copy. I got to the point I tought it was only my imagination that made up the existence of this record.
There must be a ton of weird stuff back in the earlier days, that never came for sale afterwards ever again.

Recently I have been selling a ton of records. Mostly from a collection I got concerning non-hardcore/non-revelation records and I spent close to 600 dollars on shipping in the last month.

Had to stand on a desk to take the pic. This made me chuckle. Since it is funny and recognizable at the same time. I wanted to take a picture of all my Minor Threat stuff but even with standing on a table I couldn't take a picture of them all.

I do know Rev did several "presses" for certain records on cassette. I have two versions of the Inside Out tape. One has New Haven address on the sleeve and on the cassette. The other one has the New Have address sleeve but the Huntington Beach address on the cassette.

Did YOT got paid by Wishing Well? Did Turning Point got paid by New Age? Does this make New Age a bootleg label?
Jeff Nelson even recognizes the Lost And Found 7" to be sorta legit. I don't think besides selling hiphop gear, Lost and Found is active in anything.

Fun House is questionable. But the sleeve rules. We Bite is legit as can be, discarding them as bootlegs sounds weird.

I use it and i've used it for vinyl too with my old android phone. Scan the barcode and scrobble or search and scrobble. Pretty neat you could select the whole record, individual songs or just the a or b-side of a record.

Ferry that CK you have was actually traded by the drummer of Mainstrike for a DYS - Brotherhood LP if my memory serves me correctly. He was actually shocked to find out what the price of a CK was around in 2005 when I talked to him.

Can't blame Revelation, if it sells it sells. They are not here not to protect the integrity of the record collecting guild, they are here to sell records. Apperently colored vinyl sells faster than black vinyl. So colored vinyl it is.

I think their later more metal records are much better.
