Not seeing Quicksand? Only band I really want to see is Quicksand, for the rest I will hanging out. Ah, the concert police. Just kidding. I thought they were playing last, but I was wrong. So, yeah I'll be in the Quicksand pit because I want to see Nofx after that. I saw them in 94 for the last time, which was great. I also prefer smaller club shows, but I can adapt to a fest like this. And several bands don't really play 200-300 venue shows anymore.

Bought tickets for 2 days....
Will check: Day 1: Ignite/Descendents/Nofx and perhaps Madball Day 2: Offspring/Hives/All/Snuff/Judge/CroMags/Touche Amore/Done Dying
So many bands I don't know,so I'll try to check out as many as I can.
Not sure if I'm driving home or crashing at a hotel. Camping out isn't an option for me.

Yeah sure, I can do that. I'll throw in the tests as a bonus. Will send you guys a PM tonight. BTW: Interesting to see the Rainbo Records test labels change over the years.... top left 1988... top+bottom right 1997/1998 bottom left 2014 (The address has changed, not sure if anyone's noticed this yet??)

I have maybe 5 or 6 Rev tests I think, yet only two of them are listed in this thread... but I didn't list them. I don't like having my name up here because nobody asked me. Would it be in the spirit of the thread to copy & repaste the list without my name included? Should be no problem, but you're on here since the first page actually!

Who invited the record collector police? Nobody. They invited themselves. It started out pretty friendly actually. Ah, those days...those fuckin' days. Remember? " Wow! This is great! Thank you all on this thread so much!!! You have all shed some pretty good light on this subject for me and I really didn't expect this much from you guys. Incredible! I can see where all of you are coming from, I respect all of your opinions and I seriously appreciate all of your input... Now I understand the different varieties of Rev collectors much much more. Bottom line: To each their own, I guess... You guys are awesome!"

So, on a scale from 1-10: how good are these record fairs? Loads of old hardcore and punk stuff with quite a few gems strewn in or a rather small section of hardcore/punk vinyl and finding anything rare is just that: rare? Would any of the Dutchmen say they are worth traveling about 6 hours? Hmmmmm, tough call!! Not sure if it's worth a 6 hour drive. But if you make it a 3-4 day trip, visit some cities, spend a day near the coast/dunes, go to the fair one day I'd say it's worth it. There are rare records on display, but prices are not low. You can find Minor Threat OG, XCLAIM stuff, an occasional Straight Ahead LP, more common Rev stuff like the NFAA, COS, SBS eps. Don't expect Rev or Dischord tests. If you have a broad musical HC/Punk taste, there's plenty of records to sift through of E10-25 value. It's not just a record fair either, so if you have more interests, they will be available. From collecting toys, jukeboxes, antique market stuff, coins, etc or just practical stuff to have. I can easily spend 4 hours looking through records only, so a day is easy to fill there.

He didn't win it for $10 or $15. He won it for $0.99. I didn't claim he did. But he's asking for advice, offering $10-15 is mine. There is no weird seller's remorse 1000% tax on eBay that I've heard of. Correct, you just thought that up yourself.

And I finished second in this battle. So if anyone is looking to put up a buy it now on eBay soon for the same record at the same price, it might be best to talk too me first ;-) I was third. I witnessed the battle, but ran away with the Insight on orange.

Clichejon will be waking up just about ......now haha
Hard to say though, it'll depend on the moment, selling method, the holy grail coefficiency index, other people's/expert's opinions.
Perhaps the diehard collector would rather have a test than a blank label copy?
With one-of-a-kind items, the value will vary more than when a few have already sold. Or the /1 item has already been passed on a few times.
