I would like a Bold 7" on color, regardless what color. Repress request? ;-)

Yeah, and the angle is different too. That's why the light and setting should be more standardized. Indoor won't ever work, cause it'll always be different every time you have a different time of day, position in the house, flash or without, etc.
Also, I'm not declaring which of yours are/aren't transparent. I used the word seem for a reason.
Try taking 7 pics of 1 black and 1 coloured, against the sun. Then compare all the shots.

Beautiful pictures, really gorgeous!! And I only have a black copy haha.
Geoff, I think the difference with PoisonGirl's picture is the backlight. Yours doesn't have any, so transparency is harder to see. Though in your top pic the top 2 and the one to the right of them seem transparent.
This record should require some kind of "protocol" to photograph to judge the amount of mix. For instance: " take a pic of your orange copy with the black copy (label completely visible) behind it, taken against the sun, on a sunny day with clear sky"
Perhaps with some photoshop (or other program) you can then determine the amount of "darkness" on each, and calculate the "Bold index factor".
Hahahaha, I'm competing for the most nerdiest post ever here....

I received my Up Front LP which is some what of a Revelation release. My copies has a ton of white and black swirls. Is that common? Mine doesn't. I will gladly trade for this, or buy it from you. Do you have one or more? You wrote "copies"...

xreganx: I feel bad for you. Not asking for a refund from seller because he wasn't at fault=awesome decision.
Perhaps it's worth the time and money to send an extensive email to FedEx (ask for an email address of someone "higher up" in the FedEx chain, like a floor manager or whatever they are called) and include pictures of the record, the decent packing and the mailman note. Also tell them this problem is being discussed right now on a public internet forum, and that this is probably not exactly the exposure they would want to have.
I wouldn't give up on this yet. That's a $40 record, but what if it were $400?

This thread should be renamed "Boulevard of Broken Dreams"
Depressing pictures haha, but keep 'em coming.
Oh, and doesn't Nico have a dayjob working a forklift in a rubber factory? I seem to remember something of that order... Sorry, I am rambling.

Wow!! Thanks, great pic! You deserve a test ;-)
My rec release says" Let Wig out..." on one side, and " At Russo's! Oops, I mean Tusso's." on the other. So different notes on each, nice.
Perhaps the name of the venue they played the rec release show? Not sure. We should make an Insted thread...

Yeah, I only found out after a few hours. I saw another Live LP copy elsewhere, so I went to check what colour I had bought before. I think it's Kevin handwriting. What does yours say?
it came from the Reflections distro.
Insted's a new collecting project for me. Something irresistible about that Orange County scene!

Oh, and some great ska bands on the small MacBeth stage, enjoyed that.
Bought some records and books. Got the Insted Live LP on blue for E10, and it had a handritten message in the dustsleeve. It was #/25, and it appears to be the record release version! Unexpected sweet score.

Judge was in top form, and the vocals were better than in Essen. Mike seems to be getting in better shape as he had more air to sing. Sammy played great too, better speed and tightness. I've been critical of his drumming in the past, tonight it was top notch.
Other bands:
Cro-Mags: amazing set and response. This line-up is so good. I hadn't seen them before, so I can't compare, but the guitar and drumwork were very impressive. The way AJ plays those riffs with such ease, amazing. Leeway intro was great to hear as well. Great pit and so much dust in the air people could hardly take pics anymore haha
Touche Amore: impressive set, will check them out more now. Sincere singer and the place was packed.
Quicksand: I tried to get into it, but it's not for me. I can't stand the vocals and I keep waiting..and waiting...and waiting for some kind of energy rush. I kept thinking "this is half of Beyond!"...Sorry Orangory, Nico, everyone.. I tried.
Descendents: sounded great, funny stuff in between songs. Loved these songs since 1990 or so, enjoyed it a lot. They were the reason I went on Friday.
Ignite: not too great. One new song, boring as hell. I've seem them too many times in small clubs, the Empericon tent was too unpersonal.
NOFX: great funn, these guys come up with new jokes everytime. Saw them in 94 on a sunny outdoor fest. Milo did a song, sounded even better then Fat Mike haha. " We're a 1000 times better than the Offspring. But they get payed 1000 times more than us. So there."
Offspring: impressive liveshow performance of the Smash album ,which still holds up easily. Professional musicians and band, but the "this is my job" factor was present IMHO. I enjoyed the still catchy songs. Planned to leave early, but everytime a new song started I kept listening.
Done Dying: one of the highlights for me, but you guys know me by now right? Some mistakes here and there, the band seemed nervous. Mike took ages for the soundcheck, never happy with the sound. Hope they come back for a tour later. They need a few more songs too. Man Against Man and No Prisoners were great though.
The Hives: rock stars doing a rock star performance, but at the same time a sort of rock star parody. Confusing, eh? "I love you, do you love me?". Sense of humor was great though: "You must dance better, or I will destroy you" (demonstrates a wild dance, jumps). "If you don't........I will destroy you!" Then: "do you want to see the Offspring?" (crowd:yeaaaaaaah) "You cannot see the Offspring if I have destroyed you. It is impossible." lol
I saw some awful bands as well: Falling In Reverse (crabcore?), Devil waers Prada
And last but not least, I got sick of all the 5inch font shirts with "HARDCORE LIVES" or "HARDCORE ......whatever" on them.

I hate Up Front because: 1. I never managed to track down any test pressings 2. they play too fast on the LP for my old-daddy-ass to mosh to 3. None of the Spirit LP variants is numbered out of 110 4. my friends don't like them That's all

Battery LP RSD sealed Abused LP reissue Up Front Spirit LP RSD
About Up Front LP RSD.......Revelation FUNDED the release, Revelation DISTRIBUTED the release and....well..... Revelation took care of everything.
So is this a want for Rev Collectors?
Because the cover and labels still have Smorgasbord on them! Tough call for some maybe??
