Weird. Multiple sellers offering the same record with the same pictures. Only different prices. And all are from Japan. Not one mentions the condition of the item. I know, right... I think the record might be available for sale somewhere locally on one of the jp sites and sometimes JP sellers take photos from the site and make an eBay listing at 3 or 4 times the price. It happened to me few times. I listed some records on Japanese auction site, In My Eyes 7 and some other ones had photos nicked and while I listed it for about $30 it appeared on eBay (with my photos) at $140bin. People will scrape where they can. This MIGHT be a similar case.

DB23 was definitely one of the better labels of that time. I saw them on the same level as B9 or Deathwish. It's a shame they folded as quickly as they did.

This thread somehow reminded me of several record labels from the early to mid 00s. I think from the collector's point of view, where you have a perfect blend of interesting versions of releases of GOOD bands, dead by 23 really stands out for me.
I used to spend long time studying their pressing info which was a lot better put together than any other record label had at the time.
Funny I don't think I have any db23 records left at this point. I need them back.

I used to have a decent IRON BOOTS collection when they were still shit hot but I traded it all for something or other hoping to rebuild it later on and... then I never did. Today, which is some 15 years later, I thought I'd like to pop some Iron Boots on the spinner but sure enough didn't have any. Popped over to discogs and realised you can pick up just about any 7" they ever did for $2 to $10. I remember their record release or whatever numbered thing they did was selling for anything between $30 to $100 in the mid 2000s
Makes you wonder how some bands from that era still have legs (ie American Nightmare) but some, which at the time were pretty popular, do not. At least as far as the demand for their music goes, which I think is a pretty good indicator of popularity.
I wonder what makes bands fall out of favour. MENTAL were huuuuuuge when they were around. It really seemed like this was going to last forever but almost as soon as they broke up people stopped giving any shit about them. The same goes for the entire Lockin Out scene. I wonder why...

Anyone can edit: ravenxarmy.com/revtxt/No password needed. I pasted an older version of txt that I had. No time to do much more I made the titles in rev 1, 2 and 3 bold. Someone can do the rest (ctr+b = bold, ctr+i = italic etc)

TURNING POINT / NO ESCAPE split
Which was the first pressing? The yellow/black labels? Or the silver/blue? I heard the yellow labels being the 1st but... Also is the 200 for each of the gold pressings accurate at all??
Someone please clear up these muddy waters of my ignorance. I need to know. It disturbs my sleep.

I messaged the chap whom I got the record from about its origins and he said he picked it up from a record shop in Hokkaido in the early 00s. Just like that. He couldn't offer any more insight.

I've just created that entry ... which I copied from Marcus's red vinyl entry I put the out of 10 number based off that popsike record. Whoever was selling this was from Oz and I'm assuming it was someone from or at least somewhat related to that Drugbust label. No other record of this version exists anywhere on the net.

I recently bought a box of records with some really cool things inside. One thing in there intrigues me more than most: EARTH CRISIS : Last Of The Sane LP
I've looked everywhere, HYE, discogs, entire internet and only found the info on them Oz pressings which are: Black vinyl out 185 Red vinyl out of 15
and then the US Victory pressing on black vinyl out of some thousands I assume.
What I have however is the Last Of The Sane on clear yellow vinyl with black streaks in it. Anybody knows anything or has contact info for the Drugbust Records people please let me know.

I was going to set up a forum on my hosting account so that it's independent from any advertising entity but seeing that it's nearing its death I didn't think there was a need. If there were more people posting then maybe we could have recovered it but...

You selling any Bertrand Russell tests? Got the money, name your price. I think you got your scenes muddled up. Bertrand Russell is the guy behind the tea pot analogy. I doubt he has any test presses going for him. You obviously mean the PLASTIC BERTRAND test pressing haha I checked on youtube. dude is like 100 years old but looks great and still sings that same fucking song lol

Scratch that. I tried a different way of searching wayback machine and I found Minor Threat, Teen Idles and Judge posts. Bullet dodged on those. What I could not find was the Black Flag archive, which took the longest to research and write up. It was at this address originally ravenxarmy.com/black-flag-nervous-breakdownIs there any other way to find old shit? Other than the wayback machine?

My website just ate shit. And by ate shit I mean I deleted it. Accidentally. Without backup. Because I'm an idiot. Is there any chance at all any of you chums saved the text for the Black Flag and Minor Threat discography entries?
I checked wayback machine but it didn't crawl those 2 pages. It took me forever to research and type all of that stuff up... As I said... long shot...
