I recently bought a box of records with some really cool things inside. One thing in there intrigues me more than most: EARTH CRISIS : Last Of The Sane LP
I've looked everywhere, HYE, discogs, entire internet and only found the info on them Oz pressings which are: Black vinyl out 185 Red vinyl out of 15
and then the US Victory pressing on black vinyl out of some thousands I assume.
What I have however is the Last Of The Sane on clear yellow vinyl with black streaks in it. Anybody knows anything or has contact info for the Drugbust Records people please let me know.

I've just created that entry ... which I copied from Marcus's red vinyl entry I put the out of 10 number based off that popsike record. Whoever was selling this was from Oz and I'm assuming it was someone from or at least somewhat related to that Drugbust label. No other record of this version exists anywhere on the net.

I can't offer much here other than memories, observations and theories. So first thing is that there were 4 of these so-called 'licensed' Victory releases that were pressed in Australia that I picked up all at the same time: this Earth Crisis LP, Integrity 'Closure' and Buried Alive 'Last Rites', and Ringworm 'Birth Is Pain'. I got all 4 on colour vinyl from Clint (who worked at Victory) in the early 00s. Probably 2002/03 at a guess based on a vague memory of where I was living at the time. I think that Clint had them listed on his trade list on the Rev trade board, which I think was still active at the time, because I think I remember seeing them listed and got in touch with him about them. I think that I ended up buying them from him rather than trading them, but I could be wrong on that. Oh yeah, the other thing that I vaguely remember was thinking that nobody would care about those bands anymore, as it seemed that the world had changed and all of those bands were old news. I also always thought that this is why I think he agreed to sell them to me, rather than trade them... because nobody else seemed to care enough to offer anything for them at that point in time... although this last bit is just speculation. Anyway, what I remember is that all of the 4 records that I got were supposedly out of only 15 copies. But I was instantly suspicious of this. It just sounded way too low. But these days I believe it, as these things very rarely pop up. Anyway, I also THINK (but am not 100% sure) that there were two colours of each record on Clint's list - one colour of out 15 copies, and one colour out of 50 copies. So 65 colour vinyl copies of each record in total, with the 15/50 split on the numbers. Back then I only really collected one copy of each record, so I went after the more limited colours, which were the Earth Crisis LP on red, Ringworm on green, and blue vinyl for both the Integ and Buried Alive records. Sadly I have no memory of what the other colours were on Clint's list at the time. Anyway, a few years later I bought a green vinyl Integ 'Closure' LP on eBay because by this point had fallen into the trap of trying to collecting Integrity records. The listing said it was a 'one of a kind' colour... but I don't think I believe that. I had always just assumed the green was the /50 colour. But then in recent years I found out that Stefan Sonic has two other colours of the Integ LP - one is a pale blue with big black swirls, and the other is very similar to the Earth Crisis LP, being a yellow with black splatter. You can seee a pic of this one on discogs: www.discogs.com/Integrity-Closure/release/9619648 (Stefan got this one without a sleeve, so he got Dwid to make him one) Also, the Ringworm LP also comes on the same yellow & black colour too: www.discogs.com/Ringworm-Birth-Is-Pain/release/12830425 (in this listing, it is stated that there are 50 on this colour) (Note - there is also a Hoods LP pressed by the same place which I know nothing about - www.discogs.com/Hoods-Time-The-Destroyer/master/430961)So, based on all of this, I would speculate that this is the 'common' colour of this one, out of 50 copies. But whatever the deal is, 50 would be tha max on this one. It could be this one or it could be a weird variant. Either way, it's rare. FInal point - I have spoken with Dwid about the 'Closure' LP, and he firmly refers to it as a bootleg, as he never was asked or gave permission for it. The record is literally just about to be repressed by Organized Crime (Clint's label) and it is being advertised as the first ever official vinyl version. It may be that the band(s) didn't give permission for these Aussie pressings, but I am sure that the label must have done, given that Clint had copies sent to him.

Thanks Marcus. That was amazing! I like how your Final Point is about the Closure LP.

I messaged the chap whom I got the record from about its origins and he said he picked it up from a record shop in Hokkaido in the early 00s. Just like that. He couldn't offer any more insight.
