Yeah, this is a pretty neat discovery. When I first got the copy, I was pissed cause I figured someone just randomly wrote in the sleeve, but I couldn't beat the price. Come to find out it's a little more special than that. Glad to have it. Oh yeah bro! No doubt about that as well... These are special!!! :-) One thing though... Did your version, with the "I like BOLD" written on the inside cover, come with the famous little apology note??? Because the dude I got mine from, who was the original only owner, told me that his / mine never came with the little apology note. Maybe they wrote things on the insides of ones that they maybe ran out of apology notes for or something like that??? IDK, lol??? Just some weird explanation I was thinking of??? Please let me know if yours came with that little apology note my man... All the best, Dom

Well that's all the proof I need. Now I want one. Let the cage fighting commence ! I love a good record buying thunderdome battle. See what you've done, Dom? Another collector's frenzy very likely will take place in the not-so-distant future Hahaha It's what makes (record) collecting a lot of fun though. At the same time, it can influence the value of something. Which can make it "out of reach" for future beginning collectors. It's what (I think) happened to the price of Rev tests a few years back...a few big "sales" exposed how much people were offering for them, and so many of them raised the stakes so they had a better chance of buying one. This jacked up the prices significantly. And with the sales I am referring to a) Kyle W. collection b) Jules SBS auctions c)Jeff W. (more recent) , as tons of tests were for sale at the same time.

I emailed Jordan that photo of the I LIKE BOLD record and here's what he wrote me back:
Wow. I guess some of the scribbles weren't even funny.

No note Dom. Still looking for a first press with the note for my collection (hint hint wink wink to anyone who wants to sell one) Hmmm??? That is quite interesting b.b.p. Like I said: No apology note ever came with mine either... And these 1st press SOIA blacks are known to have all came with those apology notes... Maybe??? Just maybe, that has something to do with the writings in same exact light blue ink on the insides of our covers??? Just looking at it from a detective's point of view, lol... This is pretty cool though... I would like to see some more of these...

prob just a dude in the band getting bored and drawing inside the cover. I found this on the jackets of one of my Negative Approach 7"s. LOL! That is hilarious ! ! ! I'm guessing the dude who drew that nice little picture went to the bathroom for little session of his own, shortly afterwards... ;-)

YEAH DUDE!!! DEF GET YOUR BOY TO POST THAT PIC UP ON HERE ! ! ! ;-) We need to see more... Best regards, Dominick

Not good or bad perse, I'd say. It is what it is, just an analysis... Just pointing out how dynamic the availability/want-factor/price can be.

And oh yeah LXH, Did that special Atari version of yours come with the apology note??? Thanx, Dom No apology note.... I already own number 0265. That one has an apology note but no handwritten message. When you posted about your number 0810 and then the other dude posted number 0823 and both had the writing in the same blue pen, I knew I had to find one. Luckily someone on discogs was selling number 0815 so I made a few inquiries and here we are. And both of mine have double flaps that are still glued.

So, now we know for sure that there are most likely special messages in light blue ink pen written on the inside of these Rev:#3 Sick of it All 1st press recs, between the numbers 0810 and 0823. Your newly aquired number 0815 Atari version practically proves it to us... Good job dude! Thank you very much for hunting another one down and posting it on here! So friggin RAD!!! Ahhh... THE BEAUTY OF COLLECTING REV RECORDS... Where the fun and mystery never ends...

I've lurked here on occasion, but never had a reason to post. Not as hardcore a collector as some of you guys. I've had this forever but never thought much of it. Looks like they missed the mark with the number stamp so they hand wrote it. View AttachmentView AttachmentThat's pretty cool. Looks like many of the early to mid 800s came with the blue sharpie nonsense. I'm gonna have to look into that. It's amazing that after nearly 30 years you still can find some new things about those records.

That sure is a beautiful rarity you posted up on here, for all of us to see. Thank you so much for doing so. "Hardest Man in Detroit, Eve" ha ha! I wonder what that's all about? And I wonder what's up with that handwritten 847, in black marker, instead of the stamp? That is very interesting as well... Well, this new number 847 tells us all that there are a lot more light blue pen messages out there, other than between the numbers 810 to 823... That's 4 of 'em now, fellas... Thanks again farside!
