i wonder if this will cause confusion with the final press of BID on orange vinyl? or is it gold vinyl? its the together comp all over again. no one will know what to call it. cant wait to get it, i will always enjoy another pressing of BID. purchased two, one to keep sealed and one to open.

I wish they hadn't done it. No doubt it will be the first in a series of 12 new colors.

Cool, until the color matches the cover!, the chain 12" on blue.... The collection is so much better without that press!
About BID orange, there's a dark orange with a lot of red in the mix (Geoff, you posted a pic if I remember correctly) And some more bright orange that reminds me that new "yellow" version. Anyone noticed that?
Also, I posted a pic with 2 slightly different shade of purple...

how many were pressed of those? according to rev, the number isnt known yet. but its somewhere around 500 to 600. im expecting that to go pretty fast because after all it is judge. i hope it doesnt get repressed more. i enjoy it being difficult to come by, but on the other hand it is a money maker for rev. there is no fault in that. also the idea that younger kids get a chance to own it is cool.

This will be a shit storm, I noticed someone posting two copies (might be Lordxhum...) one of them was slightly darker then the orange pressing and sort of semi-solid colored and one was clearly translucent gold vinyl.

heres the photos... theyre crappy sorry. i used my phone in haste, and the camera on that is broken and works if i try really hard. with BID i always get two copies. one to keep sealed, one to look at. the first one i opened is in the first photo. you can see its a very dirty yellow vinyl, in fact its orange. not even close to yellow. its actually leaning toward the new orange shades apart. has a lot of the same traits. except for the black streaks that the shade apart has. the yellow press is on the left, the "final" press is on the right. heres a close up of it: normally i wouldnt open my sealed copy but this record was getting the better of me. so i opened it and that one is on the bottom, the other yellow press is in the middle and the "final" orange press is on the top. if you look at the rev logo you can see the varying transparency of the vinyl.

I got two yellow ones, too - haven't seen another off-orange one. And both of my sleeves were all fucked up with bent corners, etc. Thanks, Rev!

(edit).... but dont become like me and have to collect doubles on some records. haha.

edit - after reading all the plant ordeals, I'll cancel the post. Still hope that they won't make a ton of different colors now

Well if it means anything, both of these colors were pressing errors and are part of the same pressing

ok I'll draw a line here - I'll stick to the originals without bothering for the newer presses. In a few days 2 records that potentially were worth 500+ $$ in my collection have become 50$ records, and the madness will continue, no doubt about it. Rev doesn't show respect for its collectors on this one. No regular pressing of BID are worth $500. Also represses don't make the originals go down in price, if anything it can sometime cause higher demand for original, causing higher prices. But that said I share your sentiment about being over represses. I very very reluctantly ordered this, but don't think I will for future represses of most rev stuff.

Feels a bit weird that Rev said 500/600 on gold viny....so the gold one should be the right color. Maybe 500/600 gold + red and some orange in the middle??? I really don't understand this kind of business!

I really don't understand this kind of business! The yellow wasnt supposed to be as close to the Final Press color in the first place. Then the pressing plant accidentally broke the stampers while pressing the record and when they fixed them and started pressing it again they accidentally started pressing it on red instead of yellow by mistake. Thats why theres a "transition" color that Geoff posted between the red and yellow. Rev realized it the other day, thats why it suddenly switched from yellow to red in their webstore yesterday morning. This is all info someone at Rev gave me yesterday. Theres 252 on yellow and im assuming the rest of the press is red, probably in the 750 range if they were making 1000. With probably 15-20 transition copies in there somewhere

no matter what someone will complain (i know i do), especially on this board. one person will be pissed they pressed so many, another will be pissed they press enough. its clear lots of people are annoyed right now, but really i think its incredible. rev gave us a really rare version of BID by accident. (pressing plants fault, not rev's) and there are transition colors!!! a record collecting nightmare, but thats what a lot of us enjoy. this is best thing. ive grown bored of easily accessible color vinyl. i want rare vinyl, and rev inadvertently gave it to us.
i am worried they will press more to equal out the numbers. vique, jordan or anyone else at rev, please dont do this. leave this pressing where it is now. the low pressing numbers are fantastic. its a nice change of one the greatest rev releases ever.
now with the transitions.... i was very lucky to get one. shocked, because normally i have to track them down the hard way. im guessing that the red vinyl will have the transition presses in it. so if anyone gets one, please post it. i really enjoy looking at the photos, as do many other lurkers. for those people who held off on buying the yellow vinyl, get a red vinyl press now. dont put it off.

Well, I love this kind of things. The orange mix will be on my want list. Also the purple label is darker than any previous presses, really different from the final press.

I want Rev to make an awesome record available to as many as possible on vinyl!

I think this is fantastic.
First off, this album should be in print. Judge is playing shows, rumors of new music surfacing, kids should have available access to this on vinyl. I'm all for it.
And I'm sure everyone reading this would love to get there hands on something unique. I haven't seen another one pop up yet like the one Geoff has.
Sounds to me like everyone wins on this one. If you collect, here's something cool. If you couldn't care less about rarity, here's something at a reasonable price. If you're tired of the Rev repress assembly line, here's something else for you to complain about!
Everyone wins!
And it's JUDGE!
