@ trashs
Amazing that you have a Chung King test! Could you share with us how long you've owned it, how you got it?

For a long while, years, I contemplated putting my list on HYE. But on my record list, I always add the price I paid for the record to the description. That's not something you want to put online, at least not in my book. I thought it would be too much of a hassle to keep up two lists, one with and one without $$ in it.
Also, I never was a trading guy so that wouldn't have been the sole goal. Funnily enough, the last 2-3 years I have traded really big deals a number of times. Did not foresee that a few years back.
I hope HYE survives though; still check it every now and then.
Plus, I have bought some cool records searching in OLD (and deleted) lists, like for instance an Insted- What We Believe test Being creative can help hahaha

I laughed so hard seeing this Rollins clip, so good hahaha For me, a DJ will always be called a record player player lol
Gotta check out more of his standup, always skipped the tours he did in the nineties.

And being the doofus that I am, I had to look up which song was missing... The "new song" became Where it Went.
So they finalized that song probably just before the studio was booked, that's how it goes with bands... And Where it Went was not on Chung King, so probably made between the 2 studio sessions.
Anyone know the date of studio recording of the Chung King record?

Great post, thanks!
I haven't had the time to listen to your file yet, but if what Porcell says is correct, it should NOT sound any different to the record.
Now, if you had a tape of the mixdown, that's a different story. Pretty sure they didn't want another Chung King fiasco, so they played it safe.
I would think that an acetate would have the same function as the tape above (but is more expensive).

This will probably be the nicest set up I've ever had in my life.
Yeah, it took you 35 years to get this far.....
....now finally after all those $10 bills you spent on records, you can finally hear what they really sound like!
Here's some reference test material for starters:

Looks more expensive than it is, pretty cool though. Something about vintage VU meters that's appealing to look at. I'd recommend having the speakers a bit further apart from each other. Not an audiophile either but I don't like basic quality either. Upgrading cables make a huge difference, and a decent phono pre-amp can improve the sound as well. Carry On with the bragging, it sounds nice

Thanks. Interesting to see when the Rev 7" tests hit the $3500 mark.
At this moment, I would imagine the Comp, Inside Out and Chain tests could get closer to it than YOT.

$2800 was the last bid I saw, before the IG page was deleted.
$3500 seems a bit high, but maybe that's just me.

Weird. Multiple sellers offering the same record with the same pictures. Only different prices. And all are from Japan.
Not one mentions the condition of the item.
