I wanted to update my list but it seems like it’s gone. I can’t believe it’s been over 2 years since updating it. There are only like 80 people left. What do you guys use, discogs?

Does he still live in London? No, he returned home last year. I let my HYE list go. I think my list was up from like 2007 until recently, but I was happy to let it go at this point. I'm not sure I actually ever did a single trade as a result, so decided there was no real benefit in keeping it up. Trading seems to be pretty much a lost art these days, which is kinda sad.

I traded records with Brian pre-hye on the xmulletx board. Anybody remember that? The blue interface lol After xmulletx died he transferred my list from there to hye and I traded a TON of stuff on hye in the early days when I lived in London but not in the past 15 years or so after moving to Japan...
Everything sort of comes in waves I reckon HC record collecting\trading will be back eventually as some sort of retro revival lol Although I suppose for the newish kids HC and punk now is probably sort of like the hippies were for us. Not to appealing unless you're in art school

I did some trades thanks to it , and I still check it out occasionally, if I am looking for a specific version. Only bummer would be the people who don’t even bother to reply with a “no thanks” one liner. Oh well, same happens on Discogs, by the way. Cash is king . I still love trading though! RIP HYE

For a long while, years, I contemplated putting my list on HYE. But on my record list, I always add the price I paid for the record to the description. That's not something you want to put online, at least not in my book. I thought it would be too much of a hassle to keep up two lists, one with and one without $$ in it.
Also, I never was a trading guy so that wouldn't have been the sole goal. Funnily enough, the last 2-3 years I have traded really big deals a number of times. Did not foresee that a few years back.
I hope HYE survives though; still check it every now and then.
Plus, I have bought some cool records searching in OLD (and deleted) lists, like for instance an Insted- What We Believe test Being creative can help hahaha
