I didn't buy much in the way of new releases last year. I don't listen to much new music on vinyl. I guess the most exciting 2014 release for me would be the Gorilla Biscuits reissue on glow in the dark vinyl but that doesn't really count.
But I did have some crucial pick ups. Didn't buy a lot of volume, but did score some amazing records. It was definitely quality over quantity.
1. Quicksand 7" test - #1 by far. One of my favorite records and to get a test when I've only ever seen one out there was amazing. 2. Quicksand Manic Compresss and Slip re-issue tests. While they're not tests of the originals, these will have to do. Also the only ones I've seen. 3. Youth of Today BDTW Test. Recent pick up from this board 4. Chain Silver Sleeve. Amazing condition. 5. Gorilla Biscuits - Start Today Test on We Bite. Not rev but still a nice pick up since I sold my other one 6. Together Comp on Orange (and black) 7. Warzone 7" on orange (and black) 8. Gorilla Biscuits 7" green marble 9. Project X 7" og with stamped labels in amazing condition 10. Bold 7" orange/pink mix
Records I picked up but no longer have. Already regret getting rid of some of these but to get my white whale or other crucial trades, had to let them go:
1. Judge - Bringin it Down test - hard to let this one go after it basically fell in my lap 2. Judge Discography test 3. Bold 7" Pink 4. Gorilla Biscuits 7" light yellow

Here's my recent pick up, too. It has a cool black streak - the other black specks are from my shitty phone.

There are a couple of records (including this one) that I will buy every version of that comes out because I just like the record that much. And others, I could give a rat's ass about the represses. For me, it all just depends. I'm not a rev completist (thank God because I would be going crazy). I have at least one of most of the early revs and multiple copies and represses of the ones I really like (the Quicksand 7" being the only complete set).

Wow - GB LP re-release out now: The Silver Anniversary pressing of Gorilla Biscuits classic album "Start Today" is available now and the classic Alex Brown "Jungle" t-shirt are available now at RevHQ.com Grab them both here: revhq.com/store.revhq?Page=search&BandId=1427"Start Today" is available on limited "Glow In The Dark" colored vinyl, limited to 1000 copies! The jacket is also embossed just like the original pressing that came out back in 1989. We've also reprinted the classic artwork that Alex Brown created back in 1989 and made a full run of shirts! Any idea of the number on black or the number of cassettes? No. I just cut and pasted Rev's Facebook post.

I think this board is causing rev records to skyrocket in value - not vinylnoize.

I have a shit load of crappy free rev CDs, stickers, posters, useless labels, and other misc BS that they throw into these boxes - I would be HAPPY to send it to you.

Seems a lot like the quicksand RSD 7"s where there was a dramatic difference between light and dark blue (plus a lot of transition in between)

I have a stamped labels/no zine minty mint one. I was offered $400 plus Inside Out (Blue) and Burn (pink) a couple months ago. I countered with $500 and Inside Out (Blue) which seemed like pretty much the same deal since Burn routinely goes for ~$100 these days, but was turned down. I'd still do something in that range.

I'm really stoked about this - but maybe no one else is... Anyway - more info: forums.livewire-records.com/v5/read.php?1,449569,449576#msg-449576 "The book is going to be a really comprehensive look at the album, what led up to it, why there are so many vocal tracks, why it was scrapped, and really is going to dig into what made that LP unique—especially in the context of so few NYHC bands having any melody at the time. Revelation will be releasing it and it's going to be similar in size to a 33 1/3 book and will probably have some visuals as well. I'll be working close with the band and hopefully Mr. Fury to recount one of the best HC Lps ever written. Thanks for asking about it!"

Good to see that the Erika labels have changed too. The Rainbo Records test labels made a transformation too this year. Congrats man! How much deeper can you get into quicksand? :-) Hah! Not much. Still looking for some OG tests... :-) I figured I had to focus my collection rather than be a generalist. Chasing down all these rev. classics is a major nightmare with all the competition from folks on this board.

I need a good 3rd press cover to replace the junky one on my green copy.... I think the green vinyl GB Rev:#4s were 4th press, not 3rd? I may be wrong though? I was wrong about the Together Comp 2nd pressing yesterday, lol... I don't know - they all look the same to me.

Hi is it still for trade? What do you want for it? Yes. See want list in post above. Have a few offers but most are for cash. Considering selling it at this point as there are a couple of records I'm looking to buy.
