Yeah, i agree absolutely!! That is a self made problem and was 100% done intentionally by Core Tex and the guys from Conne Island who made the GB and also the Sick of it all 7-inch. Actually a SOIA Conne Island press goes for 200$ and more. What´s the trick here? Way easy! In my eyes it´s an attempt to create some kind of synthetic rarity. I know that REV never intented to number it or even to give the dust sleeves different stamps. To be honest, allthough i own both that´s NOT my way of collecting records.

From an aesthetic perspective, this record is as fuckin' ugly as those SOIA 7"s released earlier in 2016. Totally not worth collecting. My 2 cents …

What i want to know is, if this is a special "Conne Island" press for the clubs anniversary, then why are 275 copies available elsewhere with only 75 copies for club friends and crew

I've asked this several times before but I'll keep asking because it's never been answered.....why does Conne Island get the privilege of doing their own versions of Rev releases? And if the GB is a fundraiser, wouldn't it make sense to press more.....to raise more funds?

Well, maybe we must prepare ourselves for a 2nd press of 300, on orange. Suggestions for the different stamp combinations are welcome.
Stay tuned!!

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if a YOT Disengage 7" on gold appears before the summer. They are playing Conne next month, and have prob been there a few times before.

Conne Island's 25th anniversary was in 2016, so don't expect another one. But who knows when SOIA plays their 35th anniversary tour in 2021 ;-)

Don´t blame Coretex for that all the time. They sold a maximum of two copies per customer. One for yourself and one for a friend. If people are flipping...it´s not a Coretex fault.
No bullshit, some people got 3 copies, ck48 had 10 on is cart... 1 per person is a must if you sell only 100 copies. I blame core tex. I knew this issue would be happened and they knew it as well. It was done intentionally. I hope that rev will sell that record in the right way. Perhaps some have 3, but CK48 didn´t get 10. You are right. 1 per person is a must - they sold that SOIA that way. but the hype and the blame is overrated. it is just another record.

because GB and SOIA have good relationship to Conne Island and especially SOIA play there everytime when they are touring Germany. this is what i have heard too. (there had to be lots of encouragement from someone there to actually get the band request that.) im happy the pressing numbers are semi low. im tired of 600 to 1000 records being presses on color vinyl. i like the change, its also fun trying to track them down without having to spend too much.

(there had to be lots of encouragement from someone there to actually get the band request that.) It just seems like an odd precedent to set since now the Charleston, SC or Truth or Consequences, NM crews could conceivably ask to have their own pressings of the records too – right? Or if Conne Island is the only crew that gets their own edition, that seems a little elitist.

True, although with Gilman that was once in the entire history of the label. With Burn, SOIA and GB it's now three times in less than a year.

Not to mention that Gilman was done by Revelation not by Gilman and looked consistent with other rev releases. None of these other ones does.
