i dont know how my wife will feel about that. I think she will learn to love them too. Either that, or she will have to go.

Hey, there's a new pressing of the GB 7" out. I couldn't tell you if there's anything different about it (I don't have a copy past the 3rd press), but I couldn't restock the 7" at the shop for a month or so, and now I can, so I have to assume they did a new pressing. IDK, have at it, I guess.

Wow - GB LP re-release out now: The Silver Anniversary pressing of Gorilla Biscuits classic album "Start Today" is available now and the classic Alex Brown "Jungle" t-shirt are available now at RevHQ.com Grab them both here: revhq.com/store.revhq?Page=search&BandId=1427"Start Today" is available on limited "Glow In The Dark" colored vinyl, limited to 1000 copies! The jacket is also embossed just like the original pressing that came out back in 1989. We've also reprinted the classic artwork that Alex Brown created back in 1989 and made a full run of shirts!

Ahh makes sense. Was wondering where you got the info from, since the number wasn't mentioned on their Instagram account or revhq. Also I wish it were a little more "limited" than 1000. Seems rather high, even for Start Today.

"NOTE: Glow in the dark vinyl does not have the same sound quality as black vinyl. There will be increased surface noise compared to the other color vinyl." jeff xXx Come on Jeff, PMA. Don't ruin it for everyone. Like we all play every version of the same record we have ;-) I asked Mike (works for REV) on Instagram and black will also a be 1000 copies. So this was what Vique told me a couple of weeks ago. I like it! But what do you think? I think 1000 is a bit too much for the glow in the dark one. 500 (or less) would have made it more special, but a lot of people love this album so i think it sells out pretty fast. And what about the embossed sleeve? Should REV have kept that for the 1st press only? I really like the printed GB logo on the inside. Too bad i could only order one, otherwise i would have bought a couple more to frame and hang them in my kids bedroom. They would love the glow in the dark and you can never start too early! :-) I also bought the black version, the purple cassette and the shirt too. It's GB (and Walter!) and one of my top 10 albums ever after all! Belated birthday gift or early Christmas gift. Haha.

finally something what i can care about as i cant be bothered to order every repress, but this is special.they made a lot of effort on this and added a new color which never been pressed at rev. start today was out of print on color vinyl since 2001 so it is a lot of interest on this, even i want it:).

I have just read Marcus' blog, and it has reinforced my convinction that I don't need these Rev represses, including the GB LP ....game over, will stick to the original pressings/colors, unless they make something particularly cool (e.g. the YOT ccme represses with original cover art.). just a personal opinion, of course

Do you own the 1997 and the 2001/2002 represses? They had some pretty cool stuff back than (SOIA grey, NYHC TWII blue, Start Today red, Judge orange, Inside Out white to name a few) Or is for example everything after REV23 not done. And what about YOT - BDTW with the Wishingwell sleeves on red, blue and green vinyl. I'm curious what people think. I have to say sometimes it's too much for me too and i sometimes think about not buying them after this year. On the other hand, the 1997 represses and those in 2001/2002 are cool items now and so will the 2010-2014 era be in a decade or so. But i agree, they repress too much. But as long as we are buying, they keep coming. But this GB glow in the dark reissue is just cool i think. The only thing that could have been done better is the amount they pressed. And Nico came up with the price. We pay $13 for a regular REV release and $18 for this one. I thought it was because of the glow in the dark vinyl, the printed inside and the embossed sleeve. But a black one costs $14, so you get the last two for one dollar. If the black is embossed and printed inside too! And is glow in the dark that expensive, that it costs $4 more than black?

Circlestorm, the 2001 represses were cool, they were supposed to be "final" presses, they pressed limited runs of 300-400 copies, nothing to say about them. I think it was RSD, and all the new hype behind the idea of repressing out of print records, that let Rev take the decision to jump on the bandwagon and put back into market countless color editions of their back catalog; the demand was definitely there, so until people buy them, they will keep on repressing records on new colors. But this way, they are killing the fun and the interest for it. Only cool aspect is that new kids can have a chance to get classic Rev releases on color vinyl for cheap, but as an old collector... I am out of the game.

There are a couple of records (including this one) that I will buy every version of that comes out because I just like the record that much. And others, I could give a rat's ass about the represses. For me, it all just depends. I'm not a rev completist (thank God because I would be going crazy). I have at least one of most of the early revs and multiple copies and represses of the ones I really like (the Quicksand 7" being the only complete set).

I am out of the game. In 2001 CD's were still in full swing. iPods were a new invention, and downloading music was in it's infancy. Vinyl was really dead and only being purchased by collectors and purists. I worked in a record store in 2001 and I couldn't even tell you how many copies of Start Today we sold on CD. With the death of CD sales, these vinyl represses are probably the only thing keeping the Rev afloat.

After reading that blog, I think I'm done with the Rev represses after this round. I used to order them on day 1, but whats the point? They stick around for months, or maybe a year in some cases. I ordered the GB, the most recent Chain, Inside Out, and one of the new Burn shirts ...and the 411 discography.
I think I'm done after this with the possible exception of GB and Chain.
