not a rev record, but...i finally picked up a lion cover Straight Ahead LP...
don't know why it took me so long, but i've had the white cover for over a decade and the lion cover looks 100x better.

Yeah the YOT record is in absolute mint condition. The record plays flawlessly! chris2far I do love the warzone 7", so sorry bud lol. The YOT record has always been a seemingly unobtainable want, still can't believe it's in my house lol.

Why buy a second CK? Is it for trade or are you now trying to collect as many as possible?

I have a friend who just bought his 4th Ck.
Ones is more than enough for me and it can be a cooler puece than #79 signed for me from sammy

Why buy a second CK? Is it for trade or are you now trying to collect as many as possible? I know the question was to Jon but I want to share a thought on this one. I think if you collect Judge you may want to consider picking up one that is numbered under 100 and one with overwritten 110 The extra 10 must be hard to find I imagine. IMO it's like a limited version of CK if you will. Ideally you would want to try and get the gatefold #42 (was it #42?? I can't remember) as well but that is not going to happen any time soon. Those are the 3 distinctively different versions of the CK, not counting the test pressing, that one could aim to obtain if they wanted their collection to be as complete as possible. Saying that if I had the money I'd gladly buy as many Chung Kings as I possibly could.

I never understood why guys want mutiple CK's and never will and for me there's only one version: 1-110 + the tests. It's some kind of funny that collector guys create their own versions with hardly noticable color differences for example. I rather want another record I'm after than owning the same record just with another number or so. But everyone should collect the things he/she like, so only my thoughts.

Yeah, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with picking up a second CK. And I absolutely agree that if you have one of the /100 copies and then get offered one of the /110 copies then that is a good reason to keep two, as they are both kinda different.
I guess my question was more just because this record costs a shitload of money. I mean, I'd probably pick up a second if I could bag for one a bargain price, but if I were offered a second at around market price then I wouldn't bother. I'd much rather spend the same money on a load of stuff I didn't already own. So I'm just curious why someone would spend hundreds (or more likely thousands) of dollars to get a second copy if it were not one of the /110 or a test.

It's some kind of funny that collector guys create their own versions with hardly noticable color differences for example. I can see your point, I for example, once received a MINDSET record from Aram that was supposed to be one of the whatever number of "transitions" (with REACT stamped dust sleeve and the only thing there was to it was very few the faintest possible (really unnoticable) pinkinsh 1.5mm thin streaks in the white vinyl. Chung King, however, is a whole different story. 100 made and numbered. One thing 10 extra with overwritten 100 with 110. Another thing + the weird gatefold that I think Finn has + test press To me these are different enough to want to own them at least one of each. Jon start talking!

I wasn’t looking for a 2nd Chung King. He sold me the record in my opinion for a very reasonable price. If I was to flip it on eBay or somewhere else I’m more than confident I would make a tidy profit. At the moment I have no intention of throwing it on eBay. Hopefully at some stage I might be able to use it to trade for a couple of records on my want list. PS there is also a black streak in the white vinyl

when you step and look at the opinions getting thrown around on here, its kind of hostile. personally, i dont care what other do with their money. if i could i would own another chung king. any number would do. thats one rev record i will never own a double of. cliche, i think its great and i hope you hang onto that record for a long time.
