I've just had an entire packet of Veggie Delights Bacon Style Rashers.
So fucking good.
Fuck you, you Ozzie wanks for being able to buy that shit whenever you please. I've only had one packet that I got from my mate who came here for a week and now that it's gone I'll go and drown myself in tears.

On a related side note: Is anybody, aside from Regan, still vegan in 2019? There was about 20 minutes or so somewhere in the 90s that 99% of people I used to hang out with were vegan.
Recently this doesn't seem to pop up as an issue? Or it does and I'm out of the loop?

I think being Vegan has become more of mainstream thing here in Europe in recent years.

Japan has to be the worst place on earth to be vegan. They put some shit or other into everything.
I once saw a big poster on a side of some place that said vegetarian sandwich or something.
Sure enough it had ham in it.

I’m not sure if You’re aware of the vegan revolution that is happening now in Uk and Europe in general. Every supernarket, pizza place or food chain restaurant have a vegan range now. There are millions of vegans now. My running club Vegan Runners UK had 300 members just 3 years ago, now it’s 3500 paid up members. If you didn’t sell out a couple of years ago when the option was a carrot cake and this disgusting tofutti cheese you’re not gonna do it now when the choice is between a banoffee pie and vegan meringue or vegan camembert and blue cheese.

Sure enough it had ham in it. Just out of curiosity I checked Tokyo on happy cow and it shows about 70-80 vegan places within 5 mile radius from the city centre. You have to admit it’s a huge change from 10 years ago when there was only one that looked like a shittier version of our Chinese EAMAYW vegan takeaway.

I'm not eating at restaurants 3 times a day haha Search happy cow for bread without milk or eggs in it that I can buy in a normal shop for normal people within a walking distance from my house. One that doesn't cost more than a restaurant dinner haha. Japan's still shit vegan wise. It's probably just gone from diarrhoea to a proper solid shit. Makes me want to move back to the uk

That’s what I do, I can’t be bothered to go to the shop everyday.

[X] vegan
As has been pointed out before, veganism is still on the rise. It’s never been easier than in 2019, at least in Germany. Also, homemade bread > store-bought. There are exceptions of course, because bread culture here is just great, but homemade bread, and rolls for that matter, is so good and you can be really creative.

sucks to life in switzerland. we have like two to three places to eat proper vegan food while other countries have tons of options. been to iceland a few weeks back and prepared for some wacky vegetarian food and lots of lousy options but it had so many great places that i felt like in heaven. and here? it just sucks!
i guess for the country that's famous for both worlds best cheese and chocolate, its pretty damn hard to break that habit here and as a vegan you're put on the same page as a terrorist.
