One of those guys also has a stamped label warzone, green, and a 1st press. That`s Jeff (Start Today Zine). I have mixed feelings when a collectors-friend is in need to sell a part of his collection. Jeff, I could use the Warzone 7" on green with the b/w sleeve.

i think that kiss it goodbye test is a record for revs most tests pressed. other than the generations comp. there seems to be a good number of them floating around. either way, its a rev release, and a good test press to have. then again, any rev test is a good one to own when youre a rev collecting nerd.

ha, that's the only Rev test i ever had.
i couldn't get into Deadguy, they were the band i'd skip on a Victory compilation. When i found out about the Lifetime, No Escape and Rorschach connection i gave them another listen and tried to listen to the stuff in an album context. That made much difference and i started to dig them. From there on it helped that i was already into Deadguy to pick up on Kiss It Goodbye, otherwise i might not have given them a proper listen with a Revelation of Himsas and Will Havens, that stuff gets on my nerves.
Tim has an unique style and i'm a big fan of all of his work. all of his bands are much underrated.

Already at $760 and 6 days to go!! Crazy times... Will it hit the $1,000 mark? After all there are only 100 of these bad boys?

Another copy was listed on eBay earlier this month. It had a starting bid of $700 and a BIN of $800 if I remember well. It didn't sell. Of course, the fact this is coming from Porcell makes this copy very appealing to buyers...

$700 is high price, but $650 - $700 I guess aint too bad as there are only 100. There's 110 chung kings after all and thats worth a few bucks more!

Yes, agreed. Seems like yesterday that people were complaining about these hitting the $500 mark...

Of course, the fact this is coming from Porcell makes this copy very appealing to buyers... I know what you write above occurs in real life and is a confirmed fact (see Jeff Nelson's auctions) but someone please explain to me how a record sold by a band member is "more appealing" I care about the condition of a record or (whenever it applies) about the nostalgic value. If I had a choice of picking up a minty copy of United Blood from a Hardcore Joe out of Texas or a beat up copy "signed and certified" that it comes from the "Stigma Collection" I would have absolutely no doubts which one I wanna go for. Assuming both were in the same price range. If they were both of the same condition but one of them significantly cheaper I'd pick the cheaper one. Previous owner factor plays absolutely no role in my criteria of buying vinyl. It kind of hurts me that hc/punk has been brought to the level of Backstreet Boys mentality where you pay off the bouncers to let you go backstage to get the bands autographs on your knockers. I respect people for their creative output but this is borderline idol worship and that nonsense has no place in my reality.

I tend to agree with you, however in both this instance and Jeff Nelson's case the records are in absolute mint condition, i mean in Jeff's auction he even stated that they always kept the best copies for themselves. This copy of CCME being sold looks super clean. Which is definitely part of the reason the prices have skyrocketed. But i think you might be right and it's not just their condition but who is selling it, but i guess that is just the way it goes.

I did buy a record of the Stigma Collection, mostly because compared to his other records, this one looked pretty decent. (vg/vg+ def. not m-) and the price was 20-30 dollar lower compared to normal. I did got that certificate but to be honest, I dunno where I kept it or it might be trashed by now, since I couldn't care less, Stigma didn't play on this record and this record was nothing more than sitting in his collection and not getting enough plays obviously. I was shocked about that first item that went for sale, it was a Blitz single in the worst condition and it sold for five fold what a good looking copy would cost here.

it's always been like this, if an auction is held by a big name in HC, be it Kyle Whitlow, Aram, Tim McMahon etc., records sell for a good 20-30% more than the same records sold by John Doe from Texas. I think people are thrilled at the idea of having a deal with a big name, they can say "wow this comes straight from his collection" or whatever similar reason... for example, Kyle sold a white vinyl Floorpunch Lp for 203$ ; after that, I decided to sell mine, and offered it for a similar price to several people who needed it - replies ranged from "200$? no way!" to "are you kidding me?" so.. it's just the way it is !

I've bought a few things from band members but never paid over the odds, I bought a few things from Jeff Nelson but none of the big hitters, mainly fliers and some old punk records he had no relation to, I also bought a green vinyl SOA from Michael Hampton for around $200 a few years ago, he never stated in the auction that it was him but his user name gave it away to me so I knew when he said it was unplayed he wasn't lying. That is the only time it matters who the seller is to me, it means you are getting the real thing, no worries. I've also bought from a few others Al Barile - SSD, Choke - SlapShot, Al Pike - Reagan Youth, Ben Barnett - Drop Dead, Kalv - Heresy, Charles - Rorschach, Lyle Preslar - Minor Threat, Jeff Terranova - Up Front, Jaime - SSD, Paul Richards - Adrenalin O.D., Chuck Dukowski - Black Flag, Ebro Virumbrales - Los Crudos, Dave Stimson - Touch & Go, Corey Rusk - Necros, Bill Danforth - Alva Skateboards, that's all I can remember but after typing all that you'd think I only bought from hardcore celebrities haha....

The Warzone 7" with the stamped/numbered label sold for $455! Nice. And you couldn't even read the number...

I gotta disagree with the added % for when this person or that person sells a record.
For its usually down to now just 2 bidders in the end at the higher price. Someone now gets excited and wants same $$$ but 9/10 times its opposite the last price since prior winner is gone so less action. I find it best to list auctions to end by 6pm east coast time so the euro kids are still up to bid as well

It's out of about 100, so rarer than orange or green, right? Also, check out the end prices for the Turning Point stuff!! We have a new TP fan out there with a feedback of 4... TP 1st press 7" $213 (sorry, how much?) (Paid E50 last year) TP 2LP on clear $132 (more than I paid for the test of this :-) ) TP LP clear $142 GB - LP 1st press $122 ? (paid $15 last year) etc Much higher than usual... And then a Circle Storm 7" goes for 99 cents....

You're right about the numbered Warzone 7", but most people seem to be more eager for color vinyl.
