there was one about a month ago that went for around $200, which seems to be the standard price for them... i would not buy the one listed above, hold out for a cheaper one. (sorry not trading my one  ) |

The last 2 or 3 (one of which was mine) went for ~$350 on eBay. A year or so ago they were $200 but I think those days are gone.

This LP is all over the place in the last year.
I lost an auction at $238 about a year ago. Then, like a month later, I won a great copy for only $141 or so. It's weird when you snipe ($210 or so), and then the end bid only goes up 1 dollar. Huh? I won it? For $141? What went wrong?
After that, it went from $200 to $350 in no time...I suspect the GB gigs are part of the change in prices.

i'm not that proud to share the fact that i payed this much for a R&P 7" but last week i won this on the bay:  so i got it in the mail today. guess what? normal b/w sleeve... when i contacted the seller and asked him why he gave me a different copy that the one in the picture (no further hints) he responded with: "sorry but there could have been a slightly different quality when i took the picture. kind of pinkish but that's the only version i've got. got the 7" twice and it's up for auction next week as well." and stated that i could get my money back after returning the 7" to him. guess he knows he's gonna get negative feedback anyway. |

Hey, if it would have been a final pressing you would have paid a very decent price.
The seller's story is bullshit if you ask me. The sleeve in the picture is definitely a purple photocopied sleeve and not a regular sleeve that turned out 'kind of pinkish' in the picture. How would the white on the label look white as white can be and the sleeve turn out purple? He probably wasn't happy with the selling price...

Probably he expected it to hit 150-190 dollars just like the two copies and due to poor listing and only selling in Germany it ended to cheap for his taste and resorted to sending you his normal copy, hoping you wouldn't notice aka have no clue.
Hope he coughs up the real one and you get a good score.

the auction didn't state anything about about it being the limited sleeve or so. guess he only found out after listing it on ebay.
he's playing dumb and said he's going to refund me the money.

this is like a running gag. he now 'admits' that he took this picture from the internet. after a bit of googling i found this one : endlessquestrecords.blogspot.com/2008/12/trade.htmlso i guess the story isn't as dramatic as i thought. i now do believe he didn't knew there are different versions of the record he was selling. it sucks when people just take random pictures from the internet to list their auctions. |

I once won a Time Flies LP "test pressing" (with yellow Erika labels) only to realize that it was the exact same photo that was on Whitlow's blog. i emailed the seller prior to paying for the record (the auction didn't say it was a test anywhere) to make double sure and obviously it was a regular pressing. Told the seller to cancel the transaction. Also fairly recently someone was selling YOT 7" using scan off my blog with my name written across the image haha I was bidding on the record but lost it  |

At the moment there are 3 copies of The Warzone 7" Orange 2nd press on eBay up for grabs ! pretty wild. I guess one is a at a hefty buy it now price, one's starting bid is high with roughly the same buy it now as the 1st copy, then the 3rd copy starting at 0.99 cents and also has a reserve.
