I was listing some stuff on Discogs the Shelter LP being one of them and I first listed it under the regular EVR release but then noticed the MISPRINT version. Out of curiousity I clicked to check and it says the regular pressing was with red labels: and the misprint or rather "misprint" with black: I checked mine, black labels, cool... but then again I sold at least 5 copies of this record in the past and I was somehow under the impression that all of them came with black labels. I do keep all the ebay photos in one folder so I actually made an effort and looked it up. 4 of the copies I sold came with black labels and only one with red. Strangely enough I never noticed the difference. On discogs there were 9 copies listed under the red labels and 0 copies under the black labels. Since there were none other, I listed mine with an optimistic $50 price. It's a misprint after all. My question is: are the black labels really a rare misprint and I was just unusually lucky coming across so many or the misprint isn't really a misprint but just another pressing of a 1000 or something which I would see as a more likely explanation to it being rather... common? And to end this a REV related fun fact: Within 5 minutes of me posting the Ignite Past Our Means on blue vinyl it was bought by... Joe D Foster lol Attachments:
