So everybody knows there were the stamped PX records sold at the Bold Anthrax gig / 100 and that there were the 300 with the SCHISM zine. It is assumed that the remaining 100 also had handwritten labels. Now, ages ago I remember seeing on Brett Beach's FB a photo of a Project X 7" with labels written in red pen. I actually went into trouble of finding it again just now:  The description said: Right from Porcelly. I also got one of his wooden 7" boxes that had about 50 of these in it. So right here, about half of those remaining 100 is now accounted for. They went to Brett. I bet he wishes he still had that box. About a year or so after that photo was posted I was looking through some stuff at Disk Union and found Project X 7" and GB, zee-German, clear vinyl, unreleased FLEX! test press, with the PX 7" having labels written, yes, you guessed it, in that same red pen, complete with that exact same hand writing.  The questions that remain to be asked are: Who else has one? And Are there any other variants?And since this forum is what it is, there's only one way to end this post, and it's this:   |

While we are talking about odd PX versions, my version is like Kevin Finn's in that cool link geoff posted in the other thread. It is stamped 'PROJECT X' and does not say side a. My b-side is blank and it came with a zine. I have seen a few others like this as well. Kevin's PXAlso Dobek have you tried emailing Brett to see what he did with that box? |

Sorry, I should say more: I'm in the process of selling my collection, can't say I have much rev stuff (the core of my stuff was early 80's with some infest and some odds and ends thrown in there) but I wanted to know if my PJX was legit or not, came here, read a few threads and it is indeed legit. It just happens to be an off-center, mispressed b-side label (it leans on the left). It doesn't affect the music but I guess that's the kind of stuff that happens.      Thanks for reading f. |
