Hey this may have been discussed here before but I can't find it. I have to ship a hoodie to Australia , does anybody know how much shipping from the states this will be, roughly? I used a postage calculator online and it said $37.00 and that seems crazy to me! Any help will be greatly appreciated. I just don't want to go to the post office, stand in line get the price of postage and leave without sending it, come home email dude tell him how much for shipping, wait for payment, go back to post office stand in line and ship it....... Maybe I'm just lazy but whatever!
Sorry it's not about rev posting!

An XL can be a few bucks more than a Small, and one brand can weigh more or less than another. You definitely need to weigh it first

To keep the weight down, tape the hoodie in a flat ball shape (in plastic bag with tape) and put in a bubblewrap envelope. It'll be lighter than sending in cardboard or a box.
Perhaps the Aussie dudes can chime in?

Is a flat ball a circle?

Unfortunately I don't have a way to get the exact weight, so I will just take it to the post office! Thanks for the suggestions and info!

Sign up for stamps.com and they give you a free scale and some free postage. Just cancel before they start charging the 1 month fee.

Nah, that's 2-D...very good question, though. Think more along the lines of an inflated whoopee cushion.

Troy - where I am getting confused is that it seems that you lack any kind of weighing device. So how did you get your initial online $37 quote? Don't you have to enter a weight to get that?

I just estimated based off of a package I had here that a few shirts came in, I put that weight just as a ballpark figure. I just took it to the PO and it is about $22.00 Thanks for the suggestions!

I've had packages from Europe come to the States in 4 days and I've also had packages take up to 4 weeks. God only knows what happens to our packages once they leave our hands. Without a tracking number you just have to sit there and wait. Even with tracking I've watched packages sit at customs in NY for over a week with zero movement and then end up being sent to the wrong state. I'm sure you'll get it any day now.
