Hope they make a new record Pre-Order RevPre-Order Core TexThe first run on Unity Media is apparently already sold out, so they added another color to pre-order.

Strong start! At this rate you'll have the entire list by the end of July. I will probably cross off two more in the next two months and then won't be able to get anything the rest of the year. ha! Cool score. Even if you only managed to pick up two more, that wouldn't be too bad.

That said, stuff gets lost on instagram in the infinite feed. Sometimes I want to see a pic that I remember but I have little chance of finding it if I can't remember who posted it. So if there was a way to preserve the pics from this board somehow then that would be cool... although I imagine most are now lost. Yeah, that’s the worst part. Even if messageboards may be obsolete for communication and posting pictures, their archive function would still be pretty valuable. Not only for pressing info for records, but for shows, flyers, trends and controversies at any give time, entertainment, shit even (vegan) recipes. 80s and 90s hardcore is pretty well documented in form of zines, but for the (later) 00s and 10s were more present online than in print form. And yes, there are still websites running from the mid 2000s till now and the Internet doesn’t forget, but it’s not the same. I get why the people running boards like TheB9 or Poisonfree decided to shut them down, but man, I miss them.

I know it's a non Rev question, but i figured this might be a good place to get some information on this record: It's from the last run of represses. The colour is not as green in reality as it seems in the picture, it's more a greyish-green. Anyone know anything about the pressing info? The clear green one is much more common I guess. Thanks for any input. Went to a record store a few weeks ago and I almost could have replaced my copy that I traded to Chungking48 not long after I first posted about this variant on here, but my buddy I was with beat me to it by stumbling across it seconds before me. Oh well.

To be honest, I think messageboards are dead. People under 25 barely know what that is. Bridge 9 - gone. Poisonfree (German based) - gone. There's one hardcore/punk related messageboard still sort of going in Germany, but the age average of users is probably 40+, or at least in the late 30s. Couple of dudes in Germany tried to get a new messageboard (TheIntroMosh) running in 2019, but it was basically dead within a few months. World's moved on from that concept.

[X] vegan
As has been pointed out before, veganism is still on the rise. It’s never been easier than in 2019, at least in Germany. Also, homemade bread > store-bought. There are exceptions of course, because bread culture here is just great, but homemade bread, and rolls for that matter, is so good and you can be really creative.

Because the risk of ruining the band’s legacy is probably too high. Maybe, but to live is to risk. Playing live shows for 6 years under a reunion-flag is a bigger risk if you ask me. Seeing them in 2013 was great, but I’m not so excited anymore now. If it were my band, I’d probably only want to do it in combination with a few new songs. But hey, I don’t play in Judge haha They can easily add a few extra songs to their 35-40 min sets, no need to replace the hits live. Come to think of it, there are only very few bands that released good records after they reunited. Descendents and Lifetime come to mind. And Minor Threat if that counts. But apart from that? The latest Refused LP sucked so bad and I didn‘t like any of the new Burn material. Any other good reunion records?

But he also doing yoga, have a family, and constantly plays shows all around the world...hard to find the time to write new stuff for both judge and yot i guess True, but writing a Judge or YOT doesn't take that long I'd guess.

Seeing them in 2013 was great, but I’m not so excited anymore now. I think that has changed. In 2019 reunions are rather the norm than the exception and the stigma of being a reunion band is not as bad as it used to be. That's not necessarily my opinion, just my observation. Also, I feel bands have a certain time and place. If GB or Judge wanted to write new songs under their original name 25-30 years after their break up, it'd be weird imho. If you want to make new music, cool, but just start a different band.

And on another level...I don't understand why bands like Judge (and also Gorilla Biscuits and YOT) haven't made make a few new songs in all those years of "reunion shows". This is not 1-2 years down the line anymore, first time I saw them was in 2013. Six years. Because the risk of ruining the band’s legacy is probably too high.

Today I was sorting my records and filling them away. I also decided to listen to some stuff I can even remember the last time I gave it a spin. One record that really stood out was the AWARE - New Lease On Life LP. Great No Mercy meets Cro-Mags sound. Anyone else got any of these long forgotten bands and record they dig? Happens all the time and my collection probably isn‘t nearly as big as the ones owned by the majority of people on this board. I hadn‘t listened to Ignite‘s Call On My Brothers and H2O‘s Faster Than The World in maybe 10 years. Did so recently and I still thoroughly enjoy them. I also listened to Empty Vision‘s The Rise LP (German band on Assault Records / Cobra Records) again some time ago and it doesn’t get more mid 2000s than that.

Warzone orange on discogs: $1599 $1499 $1100 $1000 $1000 WTF Prices for early Rev and also Dischord stuff are bonkers right now. I really hope that bubble will burst at some point, but I don‘t see that happening anytime soon.

I picked up a copy of Texas Is The Reason - Do You Know Who You Are? on black vinyl yesterday. I need some help with the pressing info though. Single LP, black lettering on the sleeve. Are there any other was to differentiate the different black variants? Rev.txt and the pressing info page on the Rev website haven‘t been helpful.

The Beastie Boys video and the Refused one are great. Sabotage might be up there for greatest music video of all time, hardcore/punk and in general.
How has this one not been posted yet?
Also, the video for Fat Boy Slim’s Praise You, directed by and starring Spike Jonze is so wonderfully weird. Not a hardcore or punk video per se, well, maybe because of the DIY spirit and guerilla tactic for shooing the video. Anyway, I just love it.
