Don't be afraid to spend big money on big holy grail items as they never go down in value just up.

Be interesting if it sells for that much. It will raise the bar higher if so.

Part of me is glad that this isn't super limited. I hate ordering straight from rev now. Its just too fucking expensive.

Are you looking around 4 to 5 thousand ?? Neil I have found the right person to pass this to. Not revealing the price, but I can tell you that this is not a 4 thousands record anymore It's been a $6000+ record for a while now. 4 to 5K would be a bargain.

Man is the bastard/bastard noise. Can't think of any other band that even sounds similar..before or after.

Lins, Marcus (Chung king 48) and Lecky because they're fellow Brits and I've known them for many many moons. Think I spoke to Dave SFU at a Blacklisted show in Manchester but it was only for a second while I bought a record off him. Everyone else just exists on the internet for now.

great city though, been twice in the past 12 months. Only Heaven street really measured up when it came to a great record shop. Although there was nothing really rare or anything there it was very reasonably priced and had an awesome second hand section. I visited acheron three times when i last went (red death/Angel du$t show was killer). Loved that venue. The owner was super cool as well. saint vitus bar is the bomb too. Caught Texas is the reason there before they played the Jon Bunch show.

I have a few (no rev stuff sadly) but I wouldn't say I'm a big test collector. Favourite ones I own would have to be the second No tolerance 7", Alone in a crowd accepted repress and some Integ ones.

This has been posted now via facebook. ' As everyone knows Jim Hesketh of Champion has just had the lid blown off his not so secret years of preying on underage girls in and likely out of the HC community. Sadly he is not the first or the last member of our community to do this. I have been talking about this for YEARS and no one has acknowledged or taken what I say seriously. I can only presume that is due to a combination of who he is, and who I am. So while we're on the topic of child molesters.
While living in Boston Sweet Pete was "dating" a 15 year old girl. He was already well into his 30s. He also had a repuation for hitting on extremely young girls, again no one said anything. This was something that was not hidden, everyone knew and either turned a blind eye or made excuses for it. One of my favorites was "Its not like there's a lot of HC girls his age so he has no choice but to date young girls".
As we have all seen within these past few days. "Men" like this are sexual predators and con artists. There is no doubt that worse skeletons lie in his deep dark closet. I beg that everyone continue to finally stand up against this. Don't just stand up to Jim Hesketh. Don't just run Jim out of our scene. Run all the Jims out of our scene. It is our duty and responsibility to keep each other safe. We are a subculter that talks about being above the rest of the world. Protecting our own, zero tolerance for sexual predators. So do it. Fuck who they are, who they know, what band they're in.
Sweet Pete is a sexual predator and it should not be ignored. I know I will lose friends over this and maybe even get my ass kicked, but I don't care. Its worth it to protect future girls from these foul bastards. At their requests I have blacked out the names of these women until they are comfortable enough to come forward. I hope this gives girls the courage to step forward. If not, I'll sleep well knowning I tried. #‎zerotoleranceforsexualpredators
Sadly, I doubt this will be shared or get the attention it should.
Update 6/10: I have received an overwhelming response since I made this post. Multiple women have contacted me in regards to sexual encounters with Pete ranging in ages from 13 - 17. Unfortunately only one of them has felt comfortable enough to come forward at this time and out of respect I will not reveal their names until they give me the ok. I can not explain how infuriating it is for me to hear these girls speak and know they are to afriad to come forward for a multitude of reasons. I want to make something clear. As a child, you are not responsible for a grown mans actions. There is a reason laws against statutory rape exist. A grown ass man in his 30s knows better than to have sex with a 15 year old girl, regardless if she or her fucking parents give the ok. "Hey yeah I fucked a 15 year old while in my 30s but her parents said it was ok". Many have children now. What would you do if a man or woman in their 30s had sex with your child when they were 17, 15, 13? Let that sink in.'

One of the comments in defense of Jim goes along the lines of 'I hope you get raped properly'. I mean I don't know who's right or wrong in this situation but there's no need for that.

Some of the comments are downright disgusting. Makes me glad that I'm old and have hardly anything to do with the current hardcore scene.

Hands down the greatest label ever. Consistently releasing great music that they still put out today. Another gem for me is Kill Holiday's somewhere between the wrong is right. Glad it's had a much needed and long awaited (by me anyway, ha) vinyl repress. Of course the early releases hold a special place in my heart as they were what got me into hardcore properly in the late 80's.

I always think that Statue's filter the infection was one of the most underrated great records in Rev's catalog. It was four solid tracks of Fuel/fugazi-esque hardcore with genuine emotion pouring out. I wonder what a full length would have been like. We can only imagine/dream.

Very tough one to call. I wouldn't say it's my all time favourite sleeve art ever but Upfront's spirit album has a near perfect 80's hardcore cover. I remember first picking that up as a hooded top wearing teen who used to hang outside and totally relating to it (although I was a long away from NY). The Gorilla biscuits 7" is another classic too. Fuck, that Gorilla even has his own toys out now. Imagine that 28 years ago.

Been quiet so far this year probably due to having other expenses (and 2015 being the best -and most expensive ever year for scores). Best items this year so far have been SOIA-Gilman street press, Chain of strength-confusion sleeve, Turning point 7" on yellow. Nearly caved in and bought that NYHC-the way it is test on discogs but that would have been my NYC trip last month out of the window. Did seriously consider it though.
