The other night I was thinking about where I live and the characters that collect records within the city I live in. I compiled a quick list in my head of records that are owned within Melbourne. 3 copies of Youth Of Today Break Down The Walls Wishingwell on red vinyl. 1 copy Youth Of Today Break Down The Walls Wishingwell on blue vinyl. 1 copy Floorpunch Division One Champs on Gold vinyl. 1 copy Chain Of Strength Sliver Sleeve. 1 copy Wazone LESC Clear vinyl. And a few more. Whats being held in your city or town ? don't need to name names and specifics of people, just a quick list of what you know is in your local area. There are a huge number of rev and non-rev record collectors out there that are not on the internet, so even in my own city there might be a lot more out there than what I know about. Also if you have stories or legends about what might be hiding in crazy old record collectors attics and basements near you please tell ! Feel free to talk about your cities and towns too ! I find it interesting to find out about different regions of the world :-)

Since the Netherlands is weird when it comes to cities, you don't have cities like they have elsewhere, it are mostly smaller cities cloged together, I try to stick to the full country.
As far I am aware there are two Chung Kings here, which is the lowest in years. It used to be ten copies. Atleast three copies of Floorpunch on gold
For the rest I don't know.

we should make a map where we can see where everybody is located. that would be fun to see. well in switzerland i don't know a lot of collectors. i guess i might be the only one here that really collects the goldies. but i might be wrong. there are probably a lot of Judge on green and a handfull of GB on Purple maybe some px but i guess nobody else is after all of them

I live in Tokyo and I always thought I was the only one with a Chung King here.. well.. two Chung Kings actually, and then the dude from I think BASE RECORDS (?) put one up for sale in the shop (!) and then again recently this other chap from Tokyo sold the $6K one on eBay along with a dozen or so mind-blowers, like the BEYOND LP test for example, so.. I've come to the simple conclusion that I have absolutely not a clue what's hiding in this shite city. At one point they had like four Lexicon Devils at Shinjuku Disk Union (I had three at home at that time so that's already 7 lol) I am sure there are a lot of crazy things here. Don't even want to guess

I just moved to San Diego, so I don't know specifics, but there are obvious collectors in this region. Coming from Chicago / Milwaukee area there are some old time collectors, Gabe of Good & Plenty fame still has some gems. Although he sold his Chung King in '92 for about $250. I passed at $200, at the time it was too rich for my blood. There also Clint (Organized Crime) who has an insane Integrity collection. The guy who used to run Ear Waves record shop has a pretty extensive Touch & Go collection (Fix, Necros, etc.)

a friend of mine has every chain record except a test of true till death i think 3rd Mindpower test press has been found then! There were only 4 of those. Finn has one, I have one and your friend has the 3rd one? One's still missing. Possibly someone in the band/label has that last one. Always wondered where they all were. Also, has your mate got the white or orange label rejected test press? Always wondered about haw many of each of those exist. I've never seen a white label one.

You are definitely right about that!!! I live in North-Eastern PA and there are TONS of heavy hitters around this area, all over the place. PA is stacked!!! But nobody wants to part with anything though, lol... Hey man... Since you are from Philly, I was wondering if you knew John Dudeck, the owner of the one time "Very Distro" who recently passed away? I was really good friends with him... Such a great person who was dealt an extremely unfortunate hand... He operated out of Philly for quite a long time... Just wondering if you knew him??? He was the best...

That's cool. Yeah, I'm starting to miss him very much now that I'm back in the vinyl game... He was such a great person who had a huge influence on the hardcore scene... He picked my ass up and took me to sooooo many shows... He was super cool like that... Yeah, if you got a Warzone clear at Very Distro then it was most definitely one of Johnny's personal recs. So, I guess you have more than 1 Warzone clear, huh??? That is crazy cool! Do you wanna sell one??? Yeah, those Lost Horizon Syracuse shows were awesome man! My old band played about 4 or 5 shows there... Good times indeed!!!

Well, between where I live (Providence) and where I work (Boston) I know there have to be some other heavy hitters.
The only person I know with a decidedly crazy record collection though is Cooch.
He used to come to the old early 2000's record swaps we'd have in Mission Hill and Chris B9 would be there with early B9 rarities (where I got most friend's press AN stuff) and Cooch would just have his Antidote and Dangerhouse stuff and we'd all just sigh.

I don't know any collectors in this town/city that I dwell in so its safe to say that there's only one Chung king that resides here. In fact there is only 5 reported in the UK.
