Sorting out my zines today, trying to get some order in them and placing them in plastic covers.....I stumbled upon a zine called "Change issue #12". I have no idea how I acquired it, but must have done so recently.
Anyway, there's a nice interview with Lars Weiss (AIAC, Judge) in it. At one point he says members go in and of bands a lot in that era (86-90) and says that Warzone had most members. He estimates about 35 people had been in the band over the years!! Wow.
My guess is (if this is true) that this might be the reason so FEW Warzone test pressing records seem to surface....people have an emotional connection to a test pressing, and keep it. Collectors or not.
If you check the interview with Luke Abbey on Double Cross, there's a pic of a test press of an LP, with lots of personalized messages to the owner. Makes it much harder to let go of I would presume...
