Very nice collection. I'm still missing the 3rd and 4th presses on black. What is that extra black copy you have?

Nico, what are the 4 different non-1st press black vinyl copies? There should be 3. I'm curious what's the 4th one?

More Turning Point love!
I have a copy that has a 2nd press sleeve and a 3rd press insert. It is not a mix up since the orginial owner only had one copy and bought it straight from the label back in the day.
So I am assuming they just run short on sleeves and used some old stock or made some new ones.

Oh yeah, I always wondered about the mixed up covers. Here's what I have:
Skip lyric sheet - red vinyl: GLOSSY cover Skip lyric sheet - black vinyl: MATT cover (the one that folds in the middle of HI:IMPACT 1 - which is the same as one you have in the middle of the photo to the left of the gold one)
Fall Brawl lyric sheet (yellow) - gold vinyl: GLOSSY cover Fall Brawl lyric sheet (white) - black vinyl: MATT cover (the same one as the Skip lyric sheet black vinyl)
The the 4th press is with glossy sleeve again.
I originally thought the sleeves from 2nd and 3rd press got switched but then I heard the colour and black vinyl were pressed separately so I thought they just used glossy sleeves for colour and matt sleeves for black vinyl?
I only see one matt cover in your photo (the one in the middle) so all the other ones are glossy?

More importantly: how many versions of the 1st press do you have? I've got the following:
plain matt card cover with address stamp and #d on the inside cover : #0008/1000 ~
weird card sleeve with a sort of embossed surface with address stamp and #d on the inside cover : #0441/1000 ~ (I think these are the most common as I have had probably over 10 of them at some point)
plain matt card cover WITHOUT address stamp and #d on the inside cover : #0635/1000 ~
The WITH and WITHOUT address stamp versions bring to mind the SOIA Gilman pressing so I consider them "different versions" in the same way as you would SOIA records. The ones without address stamp are super hard to find. I only saw one other than mine.
Also, when they made the covers for that 1st press they said they "used whatever paper/card stock was lying around" so there may be more variation in the paper. I have only ever seen two though. Interesting fact: the embossed cover version has the cover graphic printed on the embossed side and the stamps are on the flat side. I have seen a cover before that was printed on the flat side and stamps were on the embossed side. Would like to find one like it in the future.
Anyone with anything different?

This starts to look ugly.
2nd press, black (Skip) - MATT cover 2nd press, red (Skip) - MATT cover
3rd press, black (Fall Brawl) - GLOSSY cover 3rd press, gold (yellow Fall Brawl) - GLOSSY cover Mix up 3rd press, black (Fall Brawl) - MATT cover (paper matches 2nd press sleeves)
4th press, (single sided) - GLOSSY cover

I always wondered how many 1st press records there are? 1100? I know they atleast made 10 #1's and did a bunch of other numbers.

OK then, this could mean that:
a) I got the red vinyl with 3rd press sleeve and what you call the "mix up 3rd press"
or
b) someone switched the covers on their records (before I got them)
Can more people confirm please that matt cover IS the 2nd press and glossy is the 3rd. If more people confirms this to be the case I guess I will just UNswitch the covers then. Regan - is your red vinyl with matt or glossy sleeve?

All of my 7"s have the glossy cover except my first press. My first press is #0493 and has the address stamped inside.
Leigh has a copy #0001 which looks really cool. Leigh if you read this u should post a pic!

However this is interesting seekingthesimple.wordpress.com/vinyl/turning-point/Seems this has the gold version with a Matt cover. Also my insert for my red copy is the one Kyle says is the 3rd press. So I'm lost, what insert do other people have with their red copy. I'm waiting for a second one in the mail so will be interesting to see what cover and insert it comes with.

My copies are 1st press: matt cover, #0009 stamped inside back cover and address stamped inside front cover.
2nd press, matt cover w/ Hi-Impact :1 on front cover due to folding. Skip insert.

So far it is consistent that 2nd AND 3rd pressing could come with either the glossy or the matt card covers. The level of mix up is too random to determine the pattern so far.
Regan: this is for sure though - your red copy comes with wrong insert.

On a related note: anyone wants to sell/trade me the Think Fast test pressings? I think there were 3 different tests. I have the 1st press accepted only.

Here are a few pics. I'm the 3rd owner of this 0001 1st press Hi Impact 7" Darren from Hi Impact owned it then Tre McCarthy then Leigh Drugxfree. Apparently this was the first copy stamped, they accidentally stamped it upside down then re stamped the sleeve.
