Count me in as one who never got to see them live and would love to do so now.
I just don't understand the sentiment that it is somehow sacrilegious for bands to get together and play a few songs - particularly for newer fans or folks who never saw them back in the day. Not everyone lived in NYC.
I love Judge and while I have no doubt it wouldn't be the same - I would pay a lot of money to see them.

Ian MacKaye summed it up the best about reunions when asked about possible MT tour/shows in the near future. I don't have a quote at hand and don't want to distort it by quoting out of memory. Search google and you will find it. It was one of those things that your common sense just wouldn't let you argue against..

Approaching Oblivion - Ian Mackaye Interview
AO: So many people don’t do that. They just fold, and go for the cash. They just sell out; I guess that’s what selling out is.
Ian: Yeah. I mean Minor Threat got offered enormous amounts of money too. But Minor Threat never played a single show for money ever, so why would we do that now? Isn’t that ruining all the work?
If you wanted to see Minor Threat, why would you want to see a guy who is 49 years old, doing a song he wrote when he was 19? I think that’s just insane. I tell people, I love Minor Threat, but that band belongs to that moment in time. I think the music holds up because it is an honest expression, and that's why people can still relate to it. If you want to see Minor Threat, form a fucking band, that’s Minor Threat.
:-)

Thank you... this is the part of the interview that I was talking about. There's nothing left to add to that.

i have to agree with orangerory...if you werent around than and had the chance to see them now, why wouldn't you...when gorilla biscuits toured Australia there were a lot of skeptics, i can honestly say it was one show i dont regret going to...what a blast that being said, the band were into it, they were tight, and everyone in the crowd got into it...if judge did it and that feeling wasn't there on stage you would be dissapointed, but you would still want to be there initially, even if its to just say say you were there.
one band that shouldn't be doing the whole reunion thing is outspoken...without coyle singing i have no interest what so ever seeing that formation they have playing shows now..

I think Quicksand and Judge were about different things. Judge was started for a reason and that reason no longer exists as I believe Mike said in one of the interviews "I'm not fed up anymore" that's why I thought quoting Ian fitted perfectly in this case. I mentioned it in some other thread, some bands can pull off killer reunions, like NA did. Some not so much, some should never ever even consider it. Thankfully the ones that matter most to me don't.

Exactly. There are 2 bands I never want to see live in 2012 (or later):
- Minor Threat - Judge
Never ever!!!

SSD was supposed to happen a few years ago, I was contacted by the booker to work out a deal. Obviously it was a scap line up.
Minor Threat remains and I hope it will never happen.

Relax everybody, I was just kidding and having a good time! No tour as far as I know. But wow ... I did not expect such a reaction. Even our singer called me and asked what´s up... Those who go to the show(s), have fun! Everyone else, have fun anyway, and don´t believe everything you read on the internet :-)!
