most of you know, I am a New Age (and ofcourse Revelation) fan since day one.
I noticed, after somebody made me clear there were differences, that my grey vinyl (which I believe is the first press) has a matt cover. my black vinyl version has a glossy cover. which makes this a later press??? at least a different press, because the lyricsheets are also different: the one from the grey vinyl press is darker.
who has some info for me? how many presses were made? what kind of press do you have?

I have the same: Black vinyl with a glossy cover and Grey Marble vinyl with a matte cover. I don't see a difference in the color of the inserts.
Unfortunately, getting accurate pressing information from New Age is near impossible. Their website is a mess!

I have a black vinyl with non-glossy cover, I wouldn't call it matt but definitely not glossy. Can someone post the insert so I can compare my copy.

the difference in the lyricsheet is best seen where the lyrics are, on the background is that tribal thingy. that tribal is very light on the one press and the otherpress (which I think is firstpress) is very dark. I think they fixed that on the following presses. sorry Nico, no scan possible for me.

many years ago, i heard a rumor that the color vinyl pressing of this record was done after the first pressing. the thing is, i only heard this once. so i have no idea if its true or not. i know i have a black vinyl first press because i got it right when it came out. i didnt get the color vinyl version till years later from new age via ebay. if i get a chance i will dig them up and see if there are any differences.

I back Geoff here. I picked up black wax LP during summer '93 tour then about a good 10 plus years I got grey wax in one of mike new age storage purges.
I never looked at sleeves or inserts here....something for the weekend

aha, looks like the grey press was maybe later. I remember picking up the black vinyl when it came out. like Geoff and Back 2 Square One I picked up the grey version, years later. so there's some thruth in that... other people have that same opinion?
what about the Live.love.regret. on blue?

From my experience, all the early New Age releases ( I have a lot) had very glossy covers. I hated it. So I would put money down the grey vinyl was a later pressing.
Best, Mike in Detroit
