Picked up a spare from the weekend show. Just 100 pressed for the tour and will trade it for either GBs or SOIA Conne island 7"s ( coretex version on GBs). Hit me up. Thanks.

Why? It's limited to just 100. All were show only editions. The GBs and SOIA were higher in numbers. I'll probably trade a burn mountain on red for it too. Now that's a fair trade.

you're probably right, i just think that those CY are not as important as both Conne island ones. hence they are both early rev numbers and CY is rev180+?

I'd be all over this thread and record if CY actually stood for Crucial Youth. Seriously.

Sometimes you guys talk about trade under the pressure of the current market value. Supposing that CY is out of 100 and 40 fot the rev vault, then it will be really hard to find. For a true collector it would be a good trade for both SOIA and GB imo, early rev number but recent repress. Of course i would not sell my wz on green for $100, but a trade is something different to me. I've traded the OG CY on clear(old record) for that neon green(new record) and i think it was a fair trade, also Im pretty sure will be harder to come across that green rather than the clear one. In the end: money ruins the market and kills the good trades. Word! Oh,im NOT going to sell or trade my wz on green...it was just an example (haha)

I agree with much of what you say. Revelation do repress too many records in different colours killing the magic and even value but I'm all for one off limited versions like this which was made up for one show or your or special event or whatever. For me being lucky enough to actually make the NY show it's a nice souvenir as well as just another limited record Sometimes you guys talk about trade under the pressure of the current market value. Hasn't New Beginning been defunct for decades?
I think your priorities are a bit messed up. You do realise that in order for Revelation to pay the artists, release records and pay their employees then they have to sell new records, right? Because they do not see a cent of the hundreds of dollars that you spend on selling and buying slightly yellower copies of early Rev releases amongst yourselves. That's not how you keep a label running for 30 years. If you don't want to buy a sixth copy of the CIV LP you don't have to, but maybe some kid somewhere will be happy that they got one on green vinyl.
In my humble opinion.

I doubt Rev or anyone is making the big bucks with any of the vinyl represses. I read that in order for a label like Rev or DW to survive, expand and keep employees full-time, they have to move on to distribution, which is what they did. Or go into music publishing. Or remain a one-person operation and work their asses off in a regular job and being constantly on the lookout for fresh bands and music.

[/quote] oh no, i had no idea? seriously? do the artists get money for it? i always thought they have to pay for everything on their own... do you think i am that stupid? common it's not messed, its just how it smells. it smells fishy and i don't like that. it gives me a wrong signal, thats what i wanna say. if you're fine with it, thats cool with me. buy their whole cataloge and pay just as much for shipping. i am happy for you. ok?

The Crippled Youth reissue isn't a "shitty repress". It comes with a beautiful booklet. The AF reissue doesn't...
Cheers.

i'm looking for a copy of the neon green press. prefer to trade, why not trading for a Free LP (control records) that was sold on their EU-tour some months ago. A tour press for a tour press, anyone?
