Just a heads up, for the first time I bought a record from someone on eBay advertising themselves as "a picker". For those who don't know google the show "American Pickers". Well it's a 20+ year old record, and it was not expensive and he was taking offers and he accepted my offer, so I was seemingly happy. Until I received the record and played it.
Now, this guy, obviously is not a record collector, but he graded the record visually pretty accurately, it's by no means "trashed". But, holy shit, its the dirtiest LP I have ever owned, 3 cleanings with Discwasher AND fucking Groove Glide, and every time I play it the stylus still ends with a ball of dust on it. At this point, I am going to clean it with a record cleaning machine at our record store, but, I am leaning to just never playing it for my stylus's sake. The worst part is that it doesn't look that dirty, it must be 20 year dirt deep in the grooves from sitting god knows where until the "picker" found it. Eeesh.

Wow...never heard of this method! Will try it if the record cleaning machine fails.
