For me it has got to be the Judge Schism test pressing. Doesn't really get any cooler than that. Wait, it does... damn you Tim McMahon ;) Anyway, what's yours? The trick is to pick just one record. Not top 5, 10 or 15. One. It's harder than it looks.

You mean favourite record I actually own yeah? If that's the case then that would be my Brotherhood - Words Run on solid green.

You mean favourite record I actually own yeah? Yeah, only what you have. Shit you'd never let go off! Actually Tim sent me a Chain X Crew one off(?) with cover printed on a different paper (kind of light purple) with UNFOLDED insert (#16) that I am super stoked to own now. Probably my favourite thing that arrived in my mail in 2012 and in 2013 and probably in 2014 because he did it just like that. A no reason gift. McMahon rules on so many levels that I can't even beging to wrap my head around of how awesome that lad is. The unfolded insert is a bit of head scratcher actually. I don't know what to do with it. I kind of want to fold it and keep it inside the cover but it is so perfectly flat and new that I just have no heart to fold the damn thing haha. So I am keeping it separately from the record.

Difficult thing, but for me it´s the Way It Is test on green. A test press on green vinyl is special but it`s even cooler with the reals labels put on them. Perfect item!

I think my piece of gold is the Chain of Strength-True Till Death on green. I've sold it 8 years ago (for about 50 EUR) because it wasn't in a real good shape (and I fuckin' needed money), and bought it back 3 years ago (for about 30 EUR) in really mint++++++++ conditions! I'll never let this piece go again!

Minor Threat - Filler 7" first press, red sleeve.
One of the best if not the best hardcore record of all time, love the iconic layout. The music and message is so powerful even 30 years down the road.

I am particularly attached to the FREEWILL "sun return" unreleased Lp on Wishingwell, so it is the first that comes to mind. A great melodic sxe record, I hope that one day Hartsfield wil finally release it .

my favorite record? man that tough. i really like my warzone on clear.
but my favorite record...just dreaming here, the way it is test on green, or a chung king test. both are up there on the top of my favorite records list. honorable mention, 1st press test of the warzone 7". the one that comes with tons of stuff with it. that would be up there too.
really though, its so hard to nail down just one record. i do know that it would be a rev record. my other records dont compare. in fact, my collection is pretty poor over all. most everyone else on this board seems to have some incredible collections. with that, i applaud all of the damn fine collections represented on this board. its very impressive.

Do you actually like Naked Angels? I grew up with those guys. They’re actually thinking of playing a 20th anniversary show this summer sometime.

I was absolutely part of the New Start Posse I grew up in Winston-Salem, Rob R-Rock was like a year older than most of my crew so he was the godfather of the scene when we were in high school. I loved Naked Angels and was convinced back then that if their Pornocracy lp had come out on a US label (instead of Break Even Point overseas) they would have been more popular.

my favorite record would be INSIGHT "standing strong" Soul Force Records Test Pressing. INSIGHT was my first show w/ betterway (slcse) INSTED and 7Seconds in '89, so INSIGHT will always be super sentimental and nostalgic for me. i got the test directly from mark (vocals) and i love INSIGHT as much today as i did when i was 14. piggy backing on the question, my favorite shirt is an unworn INSIGHT standing strong t-shirt (their first design)
favorite rev record would have to be my chung king. most expensive record i ever bought, at the time i thought the $600 i paid was ridiculous but i'm glad that i did it and never looked back. now with the price i paid being a fraction of what they are selling for now, i'm stoked because there is no way i would ever be able to pay todays prices for one. or my BOLD "speak out" test on Green vinyl. it's really hard to pick ONE favorite.

I have no idea! I dont have those fancy records that you guys have. And i dont have any rev tests. I think in that way the test are out of q because they dont have the full artwork of the record. So my top choice would be the soia 7" on red. I think its the coolest picture/front and the red vinyl matches to the artwork. Too me soia was my first record and (CD) i bought when i was 13! And it made my hardcore love starting

Way too hard. I can think of a top 5 or so, but I can't choose between them.

I know Rob put out the Hardball 7" but there was some kind of drama between him and the band. I don't remember exactly but I think he ignored what the band wanted on the cover and just made his own covers? And he was no stand-up businessman back then, so I'm sure there were some financial shenanigans going on as well.

There was much drama between HLers and Rob R Rock that extended beyond hardball. I think he made some anti HL comments in some zine or something. Still trying to get a hold of that Raid 7" test on red. My buddy will let it go soon.
My favorite record is probably Walter Schreifels lp test press #1/4 because Jeff hasn't sold me the quicksand 7" test yet. But my fave hardcore item is the OG art from the back of the Manic Compression LP or the Dine Alone TV dinner promo.

My favorite record from my collection is my copy of The Crew on blue/green vinyl, not the most expensive or rarest record out there but I love this release and love this pressing of the record.
