shipping rates, as you know are really expensive. so for international orders, we encourage people to buddy up and cut the cost of shipping down. I understand that overseas shipping is expensive, but why can it not be the buyer's choice? I mean, if I only want to buy one record and I'm happy to pay the shipping cost, then what's the problem? Your store has the message about ordering more than one record four times in a row, so I'm genuinely curious as to whether people ordering one record overseas actually causes an issue in some way. you have to understand that most of the people that order from me complain constantly about shipping prices. charging $20 to ship 1 LP is what it actually costs and I used to hear CONSTANT bitching about it. a lot of people that order from me are kinda new to vinyl and don't understand that LP mailers add weight so they complain that the shipping is more than the cost of the actual record. so this way, kids can buddy up, split the shipping and it's cool. Occasionally, someone will ask if they can only order 1 item and I always say yes but yeah most kids complain too much and this way saves me a headache and from having to reply to a ton of emails.

REMEMBER: IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE OF THE USA YOU MUST ORDER 2 ITEMS FROM THE WEBSTORE OR YOUR ORDER WILL BE CANCELLED! WTF! Why is that? That sounds pretty aggressive! shipping rates, as you know are really expensive. so for international orders, we encourage people to buddy up and cut the cost of shipping down. Then you should write this in your store: "shipping rates, as you know are really expensive. so for international orders, we encourage people to buddy up and cut the cost of shipping down."What you actually wrote is that you force people into buying more or nothing at all. Let people buy what they wanna buy. What you're doing is not cool. This International orders have to order two things made sense in the 90s when prices of records INCLUDED postage. Now that you pay postage separately it just looks like you're trying to scam people into buying extra stuff they don't need/want

Put the price table from USPS with weight to prices ratio on your site. If anyone bitches about prices just send them the link to it. If that doesn't shut them up nothing will so just ignore. Your solution "buy two" wasn't the best way to solve your problem. It was one of the top 3 bad ones.

(or should i write that with Caps Lock on?) and very stupid! You always run your business like that? If i want a record really bad, i don't care about shipping prices! I agree they are pretty expensive for outside the US, but that's the "problem" the buyer has! I think it's kinda rude to say you must order 2 items or your order will be cancelled! And a fan/recordnerd will order two or more copies anyway so why mention it like that? I would never buy from anyone who tells me what to do!

I replied without reading the rest :-) Not that i really care, because that was pretty stupid how he told his customers what to do!

I don't really care about minimum on orders, Life to Live orders have a minimum of 2 items for international. Ebullition has a $100 limit! No one seems to care about that. If the record label wants to set minimums that's their choice. Some people may chose not to place orders because of it, which is their choice. No one is telling anyone what to do. Sam did state that he has let people order single items, so I'm not really sure why everyone is getting out their pitchforks.

I don't think it's because he asked for two records per order. I think it's because how he went about doing it. Sort of makes you feel the record label treats you like scum. I am sure Sam was not trying to be a dick but I just had a look at the webstore and there are a lot of distracting and conflicting messages. Don't buy one, buy at least two but don't buy eight or we'll ask you to fist yourself.

My two cents, if anybody cares.
We are all record collectors. Most of us all want, like and prefer the most limited version, coloured vinyl, special cover etc of the record we are trying to buy. Its why we typically buy from the label directly rather than a distro where we could buy numerous records all at once and save on shipping. But by doing so we end up soiling our collection with a black vinyl version (p'shaw!). If I was to buddy up to save on shipping, and I have before, the label will NEVER send two of the most limited version when the record gets shipped out. Even if you put that it is for two different people in your comments as it is assumed you are a flipper. So what ends up happening is that it leaves two collectors and only one copy of the most limited version of the record and a fight to the death for it, so to speak.
BUT
Two separate orders, a little bit of extra cash, then gets each person a copy that is the rarest version of that record.
That being said, I do not run a record store or label and therefore have no right to tell anyone how to run theirs. So it is a buyers choice if they choose to purchase from a label/store. I say that again, the buyers choice to purchase. There are many options out there to get the records you want so support the ones you like and remember its hardcore.

caps lock isn't to make it seem like I'm "shouting" or to be a dick. it's so people actually read it.. nothing more, nothing less..
I've had the 2 item minimum thing going for 5 years now. Most people don't seem to mind it. Lockin Out has been doing it for almost 10 years. Greg is the one that told me I should do so and I'm glad I did start doing it. And, like I said before, if someone emails me and says they really only want 1 item, then I will accommodate them.
That's about all I'll say on this. If you're still upset, then RevHQ will have 2000 copies of these up for sale soon so you can get it off there if you'd like.

NYHC comp - The Way It Is - now repressed and available on gold: revhq.com/store.revhq?Page=search&Id=REV007 ------------- 7. The Way It Is compilation : 12" 1988 ------------- Test press : 8 black vinyl 1st press+: black vinyl Blue/green split labels, large lyric booklet, and trade list flyer. Test press : 10 green vinyl Most of these had real labels put on them and slipped into mail-order for a few lucky kids. press+: black vinyl White labels, condensed lyric sheet. Remastered because we switched pressing plants and couldn't get the plates. 2001 press : 437 blue vinyl (thought to be the "final" pressing done April 25, 2001) 2013 press : 545 opaque green vinyl 2014 press : 549 opaque yellow vinyl So the pressing info says "opaque yellow" but my copy is clear orange or "gold" if you would prefer. You guys think this is just a mistake with the pressing info, or do you think some are solid yellow?

Wow! Really? I will buy one, but I think enough is enough already with this release. Would much rather see a lot of other early Rev releases pressed on colored wax instead. Like the Side By Side 7", the Underdog Demos 12" and even the Bold s/t 7". Too many pressed on color of this soia 7" for now. Thanks for the heads up though... :-)

Does anybody know the story behind this new blue wax SOIA s/t 7" that just came out? Were there any kinds of special copies pressed that would be cool to have? Like say any blue with black swirls, half blue / half clear, different inserts, or anything along those lines that were pressed and are available? Thanx, Dom

i havent heard anything about the blue soia, but thats not saying much. the pressing info hasnt been updated yet on the rev.txt. rev has been pretty true to the repress game, 500 pressed with 10% overprint. im guessing this will be the same. the transparent vinyl colors in the past couple years havent had any variants, just the opaque marbled colors. still early though, who knows if something will pop up.
wouldnt it be great if there were only 100 pressed? kids would go nuts, us rev nerds included.

Definitely bro!!! If there ends up to be only 100, shit is gonna hit the fan, lol. I would try to scoop up about 5 of em. When do you think we will finally know the whole story behind this pressing?
