No seriously. I guess i phone has a problem with some of the smilies. They either show as question marks or squares.

You're still missing the red vinyl / 57 Ok, so I'm curious - what colour would you say the one in the top left corner is? It looks pretty red to me. Apologies My mistake. I looked at that photo and somehow thought there were supposed to be two red numbered versions for this comp. I was wrong. I was obviously thinking of The Time Is Now V/A with one red out of 25 (more marble-ish) and one out of 83 (more clear-ish) I used to mix too much absinthe with laudanum in the kindergarten. Obviously the effects are catching up with me now...

i still need a (color) insert for my yot 7" on clear. i'd even be up for a color photocopy if anyone wants to hook it up for me! If you wouldn't mind spending $13 shipped, here's a black vinyl pressing with the color insert on Discogs.

haha, i was thinking the same thing. thats the designer in me. great picture and incredible collection regan! i think your next IG photo should be the black, green, yellow and clear 7"s with matching gorillas on top of them.....on the labels, not the grooves.

Edit: sorry for the massive picture, I have no idea how to resize things on here. Resize? NOOOOOO! One of the best pics ever! And i like you didn't put the same color Gorilla in front of same color vinyl. It looks better this way!

Haha thanks guys. The gorillas are set up like this permanently in my home. They are sort of in order of press. I just quickly put the records behind them for the pic and didn't want to have to change them around, but I sort of like it this way.

The second pressing of the Together 7" may seem a little 'boring', but it comes with different cut/folded covers...

Finally took pics of my (colour) rev stuff... The orange BID seems to have found a good home! Was wondering if you would keep it sealed or not.

Do you guys usual open sealed records? I have such a hard time with this. When possible I'll just try to get another copy to supplement the sealed one, but sometimes that is easier said than done.
I've got a GB on Red still sealed, every time I look at it I debate cracking it open just so I can take my completist picture and feel warm inside, ha. But to date, I've managed to never crack it open.

Normally I would keep tem sealed, but with this BID I would have opened it too. The plastics had a 3-4 inch cut so the previous owner could check the colour. Since it was half opened I would have completely opened it.

But to date, I've managed to never crack it open. There is absolutely no benefit to keeping something sealed. I don't understand why anyone would do it. I have over the years seen several sealed copies of rare records sell for less than opened copies. I guess it's because, if the record is sealed, the buyer cannot be 100% certain that the record inside is the one they want. There's a chance they could buy it and then it turn out to be a different colour to the one they were expecting. If you're leaving it sealed then what's the reason? I'm intrigued.

i have the bold speak out on yellow wich is still sealed. i wanted to open it but then i forgot and put it away. since then i left it sealed ah some represses are still sealed but i open a bit to verify the color and for shure the repress of the latest GB lp on black with the sticker is still sealed. it also stays like that.

I got it and it was sealed. I had other copies, so it wasn't imperative that I open to listen to it.
I left it there for years, and it wasn't until I found this board that I found other Rev collectors. I started seeing all you guys taking pictures and talking records, and it got me excited again.
No real motive in not opening it, just never happened.
As for re-sale value, I'm not worried about that. 1) I have no intentions of selling my records for the foreseeable future, and 2) I would never jack up a price based on something like that. I think it's bad enough so many people sell records at a price that includes what I call "Sentimental Value Tax".
Just curious on how most you guys handled sealed records.

I have two sealed records, those never came on color and I have unsealed copies too, so I keep them sealed and I am pretty sure they have the same value as mint unsealed counterparts.

I'd like to caveat my last post by saying that I DO think it is acceptable to keep records sealed IF they are doubles in your collection. From those who have replied so far, that seems to be the case.
If anyone has only one copy of a record and has it sealed, I am genuinely interested in why.
