I took a gamble on the record above, hoping for a different shade of purple. It turns out to be a pretty dark purple version. Time to get out the Vision LP's for a group shot... The newest one is on the right.
 Collecting this record is enjoyable, love the colours! The ink on the front is not all the same: my "pinkest one" has a more blueish tone (one on the left) compared to more aqua-green of the other two.   |

I had an unopened copy of the first Vision album sitting in my collection for years now. Since I'm getting rid of a bunch of records and shirts, I got around to opening it today with the intention of selling a copy if it turned out to be one of the two colors I already have. Turned out to be the healthy, deep almost baby pink on the right.   |

Yeah, she told me the same. I think it's actually pretty cool that she makes only a handfull of tests rather than 24 or some other ridiculous ammount just to make a quick profit.

Kind of a long and confusing story but basically the plater accidentally sent stampers to two different plants, and while the "proper" press was being done at Cascade I put in a dummy order at Bill Smith for 100 test presses so we could have records for the 2015 Edge Day show. They were only able to rush me 40 copies, and the proper red vinyl copies showed up from Cascade the same day, so the 40 Bill Smith copies got stuck in a box and forgotten about. |

What about the other 60 test presses? Canceled? Curious about these pressing plant stories. Since DaveSFU posted some I've been watching videos about the record pressing process on youtube. They were never pressed since they couldn't be delivered on time. |

Received this last week, great band from Canada. They play fast hardcore, and I've never heard a band sound so much like Straight Ahead: production, vocals, songs. Excellent stuff, DIY release. Also, just like the 12" on IRisk, there's 6 minutes of hc here. Word on the Street-Street Spirit EP 2014 Black/300 Gold/100 stamped Test press/8  I bought 2 extra black copies to support the band. Got today the latest bid repress, I think Rev did a mess with these gold represses. I was lucky enough to get a 2001 repress that is really deep orange with some black swirl in it, really different from the latest "gold" rp that to me looks however orange.  |
