That pink doesn’t look pink is a couple of the pictures Anyone else think this? I have a pink (the one that was Dobek’s) and when I take pics of it in some lighting it does not look pink at all.

I have a pink (the one that was Dobek’s) and when I take pics of it in some lighting it does not look pink at all. the seller added some more info yesterday: "On Jan-15-18 at 07:30:58 PST, seller added the following information: i am adding a photo from the internet that shows the 2nd mix as compared to 2 others of the 60 made. the photo in the front of the 3 records seems to be the 2nd mix. although i am Very Clear in the description about which mix it seems to be (there were 4 mixes before they switched to a translucent orange and pressed 1000 of those) i thought i should find a photo that shows the difference. the record you are bidding on appears to be the second mix as stated above. hope this helps with the questions everyone has been asking."

I have a pink (the one that was Dobek’s) and when I take pics of it in some lighting it does not look pink at all. First thing I've noticed is the label color, is a deep orange.. almost red, in the real life the label looks pure orange. The last pic is amazing, perfect light, unfortunately is not from the seller, he showed 3 different (bad) pics. If it is a mix, then the price is really high !

The mix copy was definitely a mix, no question there.

so have we decided if the 'pink' one on ebay is actually pink? sure looks like it in most of the pictures. it's a top want on my list but almost $600...

The mix copy was definitely a mix, no question there. Nice pic! Perfect light. The orange one is double orange compared to mine, it's really transparent. The mixed one looks more pinkish than mine. It makes me think that I need a true orange, in fact i Would like to own 50 different copies of that record..haha!

Yeah, though the seller talked about 2nd mix in the latest description. From the pictures I would say pink, but now I'm confused. Oh, no shipping to Italy, but at this point I wouldn't bid.

Seller makes it confusing...
@dave: beautiful mix copy, no doubt here!

Never heard that 4 mixes story before, but perhaps it's correct? As I read it, that would mean that the "1st mix" would be the "dark pink" version. Like the one colintappe posted some time ago...
Then a "light pink" version (=would be mix #2), and then 3rd and 4th mix would me the ones we all call "mix version" or "salmon"
Just some thoughts, no expert on this matter.

Great thread btw...

seller seems to be shady. first he put it for BIN 300 then when my friend pulled the trigger he said that he does not ship to europe. no he says that its pink but he mention something about a 4 mixes and that its the second record on the last picture?
good look to the guy who buys this.

Horrible album, but for those of you that are Warzone completists, here is a self titled test press (or at least half of one). Warzone test press

This is the acetate of that release. Yes, almost always it is a unique record, and 1 out of 1 made. But it sucks that only Side A is available if you ask me.

Floorpunch on gold/88 $1325 Chain Silver Sleeve $1076 I always ask myself who pays more than 1000 bucks for "those" records...
Even when the gold FP is a cool record, I did not understand that it is ten times the price of a DC press /75.

Never understood that. Early this year I put on sale my white vinyl/Judge rip off cover out of 100, and it took me several months to get an offer over 100 euro, nobody seemed to care. Do people actually pay 1300$ at the end, or they are just timewasters ??

I have paid this much (chain, I don’t own a FP) and would again. As far as why the gold vs other presses, 1. First press is best press. 2. The story/history/etc around this record 3. It is considered the chung king of the 90s. 4. Supply and demand, more people want this press. You need to remember $100 to one person is very different to another person depending on their situation. Not everyone weighs up purchases the same way another person does.

I'm totally with you on paying big money for rare records, I've done it for years and years, when I didn't have a family, kids, etc. . I've overpaid some of my big whales, when people wouldn't spend on them half of what I paid, so I agree, sometimes paying too much is a personal choice. My comment was only about FP, which I don't consider a real classic band (just my thing of course, I prefer Atari and Sportswear of that period, or later bands like Champion and In My eyes), while I totally back up paying a ton for a Chain silver sleeve or a Together comp. or a YOT 7" on orange, etc.

Oddly enough I asked the same seller a bit ago about the FP 7" and he said he wanted around $2000 for it. That was way too much so I left it. I would have paid 1300 though.
