Fun. I like we are still discovering these oddities after all these years.

Here's my guess. The first set of your labels has DFTS and DFTS listed as two separate songs. I just checked mine and it's corrected to have them as one song. I'm guessing your blank-ish label came somewhere in between once they saw the error.

View AttachmentNah it's just the result of the blank Caroline label slipping through the printing press without getting hit with the black text. A company like Caroline would print off tens (or hundreds) of thousands of those blank generic labels, and then the text is added as needed for each release. Somewhere in the world there's probably a matching copy that's missing the Side One text.

Really cool, never seen this before either.
Can you check if there isn't a second label (side one) underneath the blank one? Near the hole is the best place to look.
Also, if this is a generic label...I'd love to see a disco record (or whatever) with the same blue label.
Kind of reminds me of the AF Skinhead labels that were pressed on a disco record. Would like to see that disco record as well haha!

I don't think that's a spelling mistake. It's a well known fact that WZ members had wee problems. Either that or Raybeez was planning to take his umbrellas on-line biz to the next step. Also, Righteous Jam is pronounced Righteous Ham in Spanish. Although if you live in the US right now you might want to refrain from saying it in public. You might end up being deporked.

What version of the cover did each of these have? Is the address on the back or not?

What version of the cover did each of these have? Is the address on the back or not? You know, Regan, I don't know if there's any rhyme or reason to it but I'll let you know what I've got here. The top right with the blank labels has the band address on it BUT it also has a gold promo stamp over the bar code. That's why I bought it in the first place. The bottom left with the typos and misnumbered track list I actually have 2 of them - one has the band address and one does NOT. The bottom right aka the correct label came with the band address. Ok. I had always thought that MAYBE the sleeve with no band address would've been a later pressing after the band info had changed. But maybe that's wrong? I figure the messed up labels would've come first and then would've been corrected for later pressings but that seems to contradict my first theory about the sleeves. The only correct label that I own came with the address on the sleeve. So, again, who knows if there's any rhyme or reason. Probably not.

I checked both of my Caroline presses, both my copies, 1 with address, 1 without address both have correct (non-typo or mis-numbered) labels.

Caroline is a sub-label of Virgin Records going back to the mid 1970s, that label art of the back to back girls was based on Virgin's stock label art all through the 1970s and 1980s (and John Omen did that weird skinhead girl version it on the new Rev version of DFTS). When they moved from the UK to the US in the early 1980s they switched to that blue label like on the WarZone LP. 1970s Virgin: Late 70s Caroline: Mid 80s Caroline:

This is cool and all but who has an Open Your Eyes LP on orange vinyl? I've been trying to find a picture of that for years. Supposedly a test press right? I asked Paul (Warzone) about it and he never heard of it. Said he would have been shocked it Caroline did anything like that for OYE.

This is cool and all but who has an Open Your Eyes LP on orange vinyl? The only time I've ever heard of this is you saying you saw one on ebay years ago. If it were anyone else I would suggest that they imagined it. But I believe you, man. If you saw it, it exists.

I can't believe no one saved a pic. how is it that it's never surfaced otherwise? seems like an open your eyes on orange can't be the 'rarest' hc record there is? i believe you all saw it, just really odd there hasn't been another one around..especially if COOOOCH and TDT haven't ever owned one
