Ha-ha, two weeks ago, I was hanging out with a friend, who still has 4 sealed copies of The Way It Is on blue. Nico is your friend into trading ? I 'd need one of those

Lets hear your predictions. Do you think its going to hit the $700 mark? I don't understand the hype with this record.

No way, I think $500 and a bit. And that'll be it.

I think $700-$800. The clear 7" just sold for about $430...

You should buy them all, make a special sleeve, and sell them for $500 each. (No - I don't know the story but it is interesting that they would have over 10 of these without any sleeves...)

Isn't this the Dan's closet edition?

I emailed the seller - here's what they said:
"We bought out a store/distributor in New York that closed in the '90s and put everything into storage. Sometimes the labels run out of covers before records, and that's what I think happened here. Thanks.

Looks like they all sold out. One buyer bought 17 copies. Why would someone want 17 copies of the same record without sleeves? Weird...

I'm with Jon on $700+ on that Chain EP. I would love to own that green leaflet as well.

Also SOIA 1st press sold for $230+ some 2 weeks ago. How about that?

I bought this one! The photos are looking so much badder than the overall conditions of this piece! It's worth every cent. The cover is in excellent shape, and the record too!!! Proud of it!

That orange warzone went for $568 - well over any previous recent highs on Popsike. I think this board is causing rev collectors to go nuts.

its interesting when a record is scanned that the imperfections really show through. that auction is a perfect example. (edit: i take this back, it looks like they are all photographs, not scans.) i agree, really nice looking record, but now worth $400. however, with the way rev pricing has been for the past 2 years, its not exactly outlandish to ask for that much.

I wouldn't be surprised if it actually sold for that price within a few days, but it definitely won't be me.
